  1. I guess posting up prices would help my fingers hurting from typing :teeth:

    Full wrap:

    - normally £1200-1300 (+ VAT) depending on the material (carbon more expensive as more material required to follow a pattern)

    - 30% off offer drives price down to £900 (+ VAT), that's a flat price regardless of the material.

    - happy to look into different designs/mix of colours. eg. Matte black/matte white combination, black/orange, etc, etc...

    - Roadster and Coupe are under same price category. Roadsters have large and complex cover for fabric roof. It's a pain in the a** to work with :bang:

    - full wrap excludes under the hood/trunk/inside of doors. Doors insides will be additional £220 + 1 extra day of work.

    Bonnet, roof and trunk lid:

    - with 30% discount offer you're looking at £350

    Bonnet: £150

    Roof: £100

    Hood: £150

    Roadster tints: £150

    Coupe tints:

    - full: £200

    - 3 rears: £140

  2. I came back from puerto plata in Dom Rep. 2 weeks of relaxation.

What I'd say is forget local Passo's. Change your money into USD. They prefer that and it's easier to work out.

If you have a resort holiday booked, then try the excursion and book it with local reps (usually patrolling the beeches). Not you're tour guide cos you can save about 30%.

Also though it's dead cheap there isn't any point bargaining cos the extra few dollars you save do mean a lot to them.

Also don't buy the DVD's if they film you cos its a waste of money.

Though very beautiful and everyone is very friendly, just remember. They're only friendly because they want your money and tips. Outside on your own, it's not safe. Dom Rep is know for rape and murders so if you do decide to step outside your beech resort, make sure you're with a tour.

    Enjoy

  4. i've been looking at doing my stage 1 and then hopefully on to stage 2, but its finding the time and money as i have a day job as well. very small business still in the early stages of setup so for now i have to stick to the day job.

Well worth it but long wait especially if you want to do level 1 and 2. We booked 2 months ago.

  5. Thanks fella's.

when are you booked in for your stage 3? there courses are really good. congrats on getting accredited, not an easy task

    Have you done it too?

We won't be doing stage 3 because it's not relevant to our business.

Its when they send a member of staff to your workshop to train your team of staff and assess you.

    congrats

i guess you failed the hanging photo frames straight course though :p

wasn't tough in the course

  6. Last week, RTP had completed our stage 1 and stage 2 training with Hexis. (UK's most advanced Vinyl production company)

Stage one was an induction. Know about the company profile and products. The class had about 50 students.

Stage 2 was the tough one. It was a practical hands on session of which only 6 candidates applied (including us) and only 3 completed successfully including us :D

RTP are proud to announce that we are officially a Hexis Authorised Vehicular Wrapper.

What this means is that we're now able to wrap corporate vehicles including fleets and dealership cars using the Hexis brand for contacts.

We are able to apply all of Hexis products including clear protection films which are commonly used on GT racing and touring cars and window tints and printed graphics.

  7. Really nice pics there Ian. I think for sure we'll be needing some for our portfolio in the near future.

What did you do about the number plate then? I'm sure our "borderline legal" DIY plate can't be recycled?

The numberplate cut out will be filled in our version.

  8. I'm not a fan of deep dish unless swayed by good examples. I want these bad boys and funny enough the car is Azure and the same front, so a great example of what it would look like.

Chuffed the car is kitted and still have one final stress and that's to get hold of two custom number plates within 24 hours!!!

I'll post tomorrow my forged rear plate, made of A4 printed paper and a clear wallet/sleeve thing held on with masking tape

These look great but if you're going to go dark alloys you must definitely powdercoat your callipers with us in red same as the pics.

I know many of you have been asking about prices and since coming back from holiday I've been really busy with Adrian and Ian's car.

I'll be back at the workshop whilst Taras continues with the body shop so will have prices very soon.

  9. Whilst Ians at the the wheel tracking center, here are some pics from today.

Stripped out the Z and changed the lowering springs.

Final touches being done to the kit.

    DSC05193.jpg

Fitting the rear lights and boot handle was a ball ache. Had to keep trimming back and making some mods for it to all fit on the CS rear bumper.

    Then everything on the car.

    DSC05201.jpg

So later on we just need to polish the car and install the diffuser.

    Speaking of which.

    Here it is.

    CS original against our prototype.

  10. Good work fella, I actually stopped by RT earlier but seemed they were out to lunch :snack: ... part timers eh ;) Looking forward to piccies as very tempted by a few of the body mods from RT as well

    hahaha!

Working late tonight to get Ian's car done.

    Here's some progress pics.

    First the filling and repairs.

The Bumper and skirts had loads of chips and cracks. Was particularly hard to work with cos it was so thin and was made of more resin than fibreglass.

Some parts so thin you can see through and we had to layer a few sheets of fibreglass

    DSC05180.jpg

The CS Bumper was lovely to work with though. Nice and solid with decent layer of prime coat.

    DSC05170.jpg

    DSC05174.jpg

    DSC05173.jpg

Skirts was very fragile and just when we thought we had finished preping it ready for priming, we discovered lots of hairline cracks when we used alcohol to do a final clean.

    DSC05175.jpg

    DSC05176.jpg

Then we had to take it out the booth and re-enforced it with more fibreglass

    DSC05177.jpg

    DSC05178.jpg

    DSC05179.jpg

With that done we primed it

    DSC05183.jpg

oddly we noticed that the pre drilled holes where not in the original place? Any ideas why?

    DSC05182.jpg

So after more rubbing down of the high's and lows, a few more touch up and primed again it was ready for paint.

    Beautiful colour isn't it?
