  2. Another good reason to pop over to LakeZ Anders. ;)

:blush: true, not sure why that :yuck: came in there, didn't mean too. Think I might have to try and make an effort to pop over. Not sure it'll go down well :disguise:

RT Performance will be there. :)

    Damn right we will! :D

  3. would you stick a gb together once you have the kit ready? what material will you be offering the kit made off?

    All in good time.

I'll be going away for some sun, sea and sand for the next 2 weeks. when I come back, everything should be ready.

They'll be made out of FRP and 3k Twill carbon.

This is what the modified front will look like (photoshopped)

For now I think it'll be a good idea to start an interest thread so when I come back I can do some number crunching and announce a launch price for those who are ready to buy?

    Modded Nismo V2 front bumper

CS rear bumper + Carbon Diffuser

  4. Well making a FRP part off the new mould of just the diffuser. Then cutting it to shape and making a new ceramic mould for it to be made in carbon.

This would be more work but better IMO because it would mean not having to damage the origional carbon diffuser for the sake of making a mould and also a better fit.

In regards to the front bumper, it will be made with carbon bottom lip and FRP top. This'll be the only option it comes in.

Yesterday we patched up all the cracked and damaged areas and flushed out the burger badge on the front bumper but keeping the 2 lines.

Today we'll finish off the repair work before prepping it for mould construction.

  5. I'm planning on exactly the same kit (if work don't send me abroad!) so I'll be watching this with interest - although I was plannning on using the Shine Auto front bumper N2 for it's flexibility. Hopefully work will let me know either way.

BTW RT-P, I'm on holiday until 10th May so will contact you again re: the bonnet respray when I get back - been a bit busy recently. :(

NP. Our diary is full until end of first week of May due to members in other forums wanting their cars finished for Rising Sun.

  6. Ray/Taras - yes the majority bond the diffuser to the bumper.

I feel all goooey when you show pics of the bumper.... Roll on to the date of fitting :yahoo:

Now I know why clarkie34 couldn't have his body shop replace his damaged diffuser as I can imagine most body shops would bond it with tiger seal or something.

Its a race against time now for us to get all the work done ready for your install now.

I'm taking it to my workshop tomorrow so we can start planning the deconstruction of your kit to work out the best way to make the mould.

Shame I didn't get to meet you Ian but Taras tells me you have an impressive z

Hopefully I should be there next time you pop in.

On another note, we've managed to get our hands on the charge speed skirts now. B)

  7. I think we're going to loose the H in the front bumper. offer the lip in carbon as an option. Then trim the square plate into a rectangular for number plates.

Regarding the front lip corners, we're not going to trim it.

The rear charge speed will remain the same.

We did notice the diffuser wasn't perfectly the same shape as the bumper and needs to be pressed flush. Using the 3 holes at the bottom won't allow it to sit to the top edge so I think people must be gluing it down.

I'm going to see about making a male template from the bumper and then make a female mould from it for a better fit.

    but fits when pressed in.

    Now how about skirts?

    Nismo or charge speed?

  8. Look decent, should the boot lid be over hanging the rear bumper?

The boot lid is not shut. We've removed the release and all the door handles as the car is being wrapped so can't shut the boot or door yet.

However the charge speed rear does have a few niggles we have to sort out such as the top edge is very tight and also the fixing point around the rear lights needs a bit of modding.

Regarding the H support and and tow hood, we thought about removing all of it. It will look so much better if you have a FMIC or just a black mesh grill in front.

The bottom edge can be re-enforced for it to be a bit stronger if people are worried of drooping.

Secondly if we're going to copy this bumper we can make the bottom lip in carbon and top FRP and the painter can just mask the edge and paint the top half.

We can leave about 2 or 3 inch of that square plate with the hole of the tow hook so you can stick a number plate on it.

Failing that if we remove all of it, you can always have a reduced size or stick on number plate above that square plate and on the flat edge.

If you're going for a cleaner stealth look, things like this will be the way. Track users don't really care about the number plate.

Fire away on your thoughts people.

  9. love the V2 bumper, I think the only improvement would be to smooth out the edge where it become the bottom lip.

I would also wonder whether removing the H bear would weaken the rigidity of the bumper

No. We've made bumpers with gaping FMIC vents bigger than that before. Also the vertical support is on the far edges so removing them will hardly do anything. But would people think it'll look better?

  10. We're now able to offer Chargespeed style: rear bumper, diffuser and skirts. Bumper and skirts have been modified to achieve a perfect fit (to my surprise originals weren't very neat). Nismo style front bumper will be tested and available end of September.

  11. Hi

We're after a charge speed rear bumper and diffuser.

I've already contacted Japan to buy a new one but unfortunately we won't be able to order one till at least 2 months time due to recent events.

So in order for me to obtain one sooner, I'd like to offer the fallowing deals.

1: Sell me your charge speed bumper and diffuser. Dont mind if it's used or in bad condition. We can repair it or make a new one.

If it's new, I'll offer either what you paid or close to what you paid for it.

If its used, we can negotiate and I assure you, you won't be let down but all depends on how good the fit it.

2: Lend me your charge speed bumper. I will pay you for the price of a carbon diffuser and also make you a new one to replace yours as when we remove it it may end up being damaged for when we copy it.

Not a problem as we will make new carbon diffusers and you can have a brand new one free.

By borrowing your bumper, we'll also repair and paint it for free and if needed, help you fit it as well.

In the end you'll not only have a newly fitted bumper but profit from it too.

As I'm prepared to pay for a brand new one from Japan anyway, it is a win, win situation for both parties.

Location isn't a problem. I can arrange courier.

PM me if you can help.

    Ray
