    Ramps?

Basically I am sick of having to do all sorts of stupid stuff to jack up the car. Its only dropped on eibachs but my low profile trolley jack wont go under. So which ramps should I get? Platic or metal? Also can I drive up the ramp and work under the car or do I still have to jack and axle stand it? Thanks
  3. I would prefer CF tbh. The only problem with CF is if it doesn't fit you can't just being it in place/chop it etc, so it must be perfect! I might go with an EPR one when they come in stock and then get it wrapped in CF vinyl I was gonna say just wrap it with vinyl but Im thinking would it not look really tatty if scrathed? Also it wont have that shiny sort of look more of a matt one. Pics would be good as I was thinking about something like this
  4. If you can make this a cheaper alternative to the undertray then your onto a winner IMO.
  5. Seibon ones are usually good quality but are expensive. Whats wrong with the EPR one or not to your style?
  6. I think be means it's annoying when peole Americanise things. Could be wrong though What the f**k are rotors? Brake Rotors = Brake Discs Both mean the same
  7. not a Z specialist but if I was in that area I would trust Fred at BTM performance
  8. I shared one of my mothers cars for a couple of years so didn't earn bonus until I was 19. I went from a 182 to the zed, the 182 was £1k tpft, but fully comp would have been more than the zed! Thats weird as it was the other way round for me. my 172 was tpft and my 350 had to be fully comp and was still cheaper. I think its odd as mine is an import too. saying that looking at the demographic of RS clio drivers these days I can see why its so much for insurance
  9. Elephant quoted me £2955! I only have 1 years ncb though and 3 points so am being given a pretty hard time by insurers. Is yours an import jenic? And what excess do you have? No, its UK. Excess is pretty high, £500 + compulsory iirc. I have 2 ncb, but no points/accidents etc. I had 4? years no claim when I was 21 and the 350 was cheaper to insure than my 172 . My 172 was £1100 and my 350 was £1050 in the same year A year on and its £670 so not bad
  10. if its that good and they do come through il order some

    Dilemma...

Im sure mark said OEM exhuast wil do 400bhp, but IMO I found decats give a kick, but its un proved.
  12. I've aready pulled the codes but not sure which cylinder is misfiring
  13. Hmm all that from a leaf! I'm going up clean the maf on my day off. Any tips? I have maf cleaner spray. Also how did a leaf get up there ? Ricky unfortunately I don't know anyone with a Jobd reader. I might get one for myself if they are reasonable enough.
  14. Why is it overpriced? Yes its a 2003 Z but you only need to see the quality of the parts used in the build to tell you its not exactly your average Z. If anyone was planning on a balls out N/A build then they can't really go wrong with this car IMO. Have a look at how much it would cost you to get to 352bhp in N/A form Its not to you as you know how much work has gone into it. The listing doesnt really show that does it? Also does he have a build thread 352 on N/A sounds awesome!
  15. Same thing happened to me teeny tiny button which is far to easy to knock with the knee
  16. a little button beneith the steering wheel that says auto. Its a small round button
  17. I will be cleaning the maf to make sure but the p0350 code indicates a coil/ignition failure. I have heard some coil packs once warm start cutting out. I started my car today and it was fine but if I drove it around and got it hot it might do the same thing. Hopefully on Wednesday Il be cleaning my MAF, checking battery and then replacing one by one the coilpacks.
  18. It's doing that. I can tell from the volt gauge being at 12v and I had a failing jdm battery before this one (new kne about months old) and you could hear it not wanting to start. Plus it seems to do it when the car is hot and has been driven for abit.
  19. Cheers, I do have a pretty big sound system but the first time it did it, it was just on normal volume. The volt metre looks fine too though but il whip out the multimetre just incase. Il check the maf too thanks I do get the feeling it was missfiring though I think il swap the coil packs one at a time to get it hot and see if it does it again. Il still check battery and maf though just incase. Looks like a fiddely job
  20. oh and before I forget my car is a 02 fairlady import
  21. Hi guys could use some help please. Basically I got to work and it starting doing a funny idle sort of thing, I turned it off and turned the car on and it seemed fine. Weird. Then as I was heading home it seemed fine. I got to the traffic lights after about 15mins of driving and it started doing that rough idle thing again and my CEL, TSC OFF and SLIP lights all came on. Turned it off and on but it was still the same. Now Ive pulled the codes p0350 which is P0350 Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction and p0550 which is P0550 - Power Steering Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction. Now im taking the p0350 is to do with coil packs? If so should I just replace them until it stops going funny? Ive read that they can go funny when hot and work ok when cold? and the P0550 what can I do about this one? Should I just change the power steering sensor? Any help will be appreciated. I will before anyone says or if someone can show him this thread I would be thankful. If there is anyone local who can help that would be great as I need my car to get to work and without it, its a real real pain as I work about 20miles away and work late. Thanks
  22. do you not mean halved?
  23. I'm sorry Jamie, I had my music on and I did give you a funny look. Il wave you to next time
  24. Exactly what i meant earlier due to less output at the wheels, if, say some numpty's coming straight at you sideways, there wouldn't be the response with snow mode off if i'm right in thinking Yes so much so that as you say its dangerous. If you ever lean on the button by accident it feels like the car is broke
