  1. Hi you could check them out the web site is still up although that proves nothing, any attempt to open the stock list and it just hangs, like its not there. Tried the phone number unobtainable. Will try asking BT to check it.

All signs are they have gone!

Same thing here, site inoperative and phone number not active. Either they went bump or they went back to wholesale only, which is what they were doing before the recession - trading to garages only. Shame, i saved a huge amount of money buying direct from them, looks like I did it at the right time. I even got the cv's changed under their warranty, CS said he had no problems getting the money from them.

  2. You've only got one side of the story there chaps, so I wouldn't go announcing names without proof. If the guy in question wants to come over and share his tale then that's one thing, but to print hearsay and Chinese whispers isn't a good thing.

Yes this is why a refrained from naming them. It would come as no surprise to those who think they know. For anyone who doesn't, just be careful who you go to. The mods here do a very good job of keeping an eye on approved forum traders for us all to benefit from, best to stick to those with a good reputation than to stray over to somebody who's background you may not know - even if they've been around for a while.

The full story can be found over on the 300zx forum where this guy is a member if anybody wanted to look into it - you need to join up though. I'm not going to speculate further, as far as I'm concerned this thread has achieved it's purpose.

  3. I recently bought an item off a trader on ebay, via a few emails i discovered the full horror of this guy's story. I asked him if i could share this on the forum as a warning to others and he agreed. He has a 300zx and put a lot of money into a big engine build. Sadly for him it didn't happen and he lost a lot of money - hence a lot of parts on ebay. I should state that i cannot varify the story and it is obviously one sided, but i thought i'd share this as i was disgusted by it. I have kept his identity and the identity of the company involved off this thread. I would like to name the company as a warning to others as its a name that comes up from time to time. I don't think they are traders on our forum however.

Maybe a mod can pm me to clarify the position?

    His words..

Yeah totally screwed me over. If you have seen my other stuff for sale I was building a 900bhp 300zx. I've been in the game a while and know what is involved to get that spec. Spent a fortune on parts all branded top parts. xxxx took on the job had it for two years and stripped the engine and car an that's all they did. Left it in such a mess I couldn't take it any where else as everything would have to be re done. They stole some my parts and never returned my 3k which I had part payed. Took on the job I think orig quote was about 5k ended up as 15k as they kept adding more to it. Keeping in mind that's labour only as I supplied parts. I was a push over, family stepped in and final result was taking everything away in in a mess. Ended up selling it as parts almost everything was brand new and because it was all high end gear proving difficult to move on. Everything I'm selling I'm taking a massive loss on.

They threatened us and used force

    Sickening

  4. http://www.westmoorsmotorcompany.co.uk/12295/stocklist.htm Think they have gone bust mate tell no is off and stock list does not load, or my PC is shot. I think a lot of importers gave gone to the wall in the last 12 months something to do with exchange rate!

The search goes on certain something will pop up as you guys say ,shame about the import market as you say you often get more car for your money :headhurt:

Wow, i'm surprised by that, these guys were the wholesale importers supplying a lot of so called 'importers'. They had hundreds of cars. Last year they opened direct to the public which is when i jumped in and got a bargain. It's sad to see the import scene like this, between the mrs and me we have 3 imports and swear by them (low mileage, no rust etc...).

Good luck with the search, hope you find a good one

  5. Good choice bud

Zeds can sound very, very nice with the right exhaust on, believe me - there will be plenty along to back me up on this. I have an import and have no problems with it other than the normal bits and pieces - plenty of info on here. If you have any specific questions though fire away - i'll do my best to help you out, as i'm sure the others here will too.

    PS :welcome: to the forum

  6. Admins please help..

I have a pm that wasn't delivered because my inbox was full. The message says..

You have 1 private message currently on hold because of full folder. Release all on-hold messages… they will be re-sorted into the appropriate folder if enough space is made available.

I cleared out some old pm's (yesterday) but it's still stuck somewhere, the odd thing is i've had other pm's since. Can somebody please advise?

  7. As per post, i just received my new seats today B)

Need some rails now to get them in, Bride type RO are specified for correct fitments. Nobody seems to have stock and one place that has a decent price for these claims 4-5 weeks delivery :scare:. Anybody have any experience with any other type of rail or a universal type at all perhaps?

  8. typical really, seems stupid for what is essentially 4 standard bolts - then again are they standard bolts? they are under a lot of shear so they might not be standard issue - and lets face it you wouldn't want to find that out the hard way!

  9. Ah i see, shame this didn't come about a few weeks ago when i changed my disks and pads - had those bolts in my hands. Is there no info in the service manual anywhere regarding thread designation etc? Scrap that just had a look

iirc the front brembo bolts have a 22mm hex head, i think the rears are around a 17mm or 18mm - not enough to go on though, sorry. Had a quick scout on the web too - i see your problem - NO INFO.

Good luck with the scrap yard
