These should be done today, I'll upload some pics in a bit.
awesome, can't wait

The kit comes with complete brackets and struts. Nothing additional required to fit. It just won't be the correct pressure for a carbon bonnet I would have thought as its pretty much spot on for my aluminium one. Would have thought this was too much pressure for a carbon hood, sure its not a hard job to release some of the gas though.
I think if they're adjustable they will have a release valve on them, otherwise not. I discussed this witht he comany that provided my rear hatch struts. I'm not sure how much difference there is between a standard ally bonnet and a carbon fibre replacement with regards to weight, maybe they don't need to be less pressure:shrug:

I bought a zed and was going to leave it standard!
corrected
Me too
Couldn't resist though and now i can't stop.

Yeah they fit pefect after I had made cut outs in the battery and fluid surrounds. And they only raised the bonnet to the same height as the original. I got them in black for about £44 delivered. I will take some pictures for you when I finish work.Went to local metal workers and had these made up from stainless steel
Thanks guys;
BM - thats a very useful image with the sizes on
BG - did your's come with the brackets similar to these? At 44 of my cheapest pounds that smells like a good deal if so
. More so if the struts are good too
-
This is who I got mine from:
Thankyou, i have contact the seller. Did the ones you bought fit well, and were they a good price?
-
Awsome, great info, many thanks
Anybody got a link to ebay for the brackets, i can't see any struts at all for the zed
-
Really want some of these soon, for a carbon hood. I know Envy were looking into a modified version. Any updates or any one else got alternatives?
Thanks

That is very poor and i feel your pain. I had somebody in a Navara rear end my last show car (MR2) - it was not a good day.
I'm amost put of driving my zed now its all painted and kitted
-
i love the white zeds wish i got one now. just out of curiosity how much did it cost for the respray?
Well, the cost keeps going up because i keep on painting more bits
Most quotes would come out between 2-3k for a full respray. I managed to get mine a little cheaper as i knew someone in the trade. It's quite traumatic watching your pride and joy ripped apart and painted, and the inevitable teething issues afterwards. Gladly my car turned out great and i'm very glad i did it. Not many zeds in frozen white i'm guessing
PS bonnet will be entering the bodyshop today, i'll post some pics next week when it's back

Mine too, thanks Sarah
Haven't unboxed mine yet though, got what seems like a million jobs to do before Rising Sun tomorrow

Thanks for all the input, i'm going to book in with Abbey or RS - best to leave this to the experts it think
Might look at cats first though if they're recommended. I think Chilli Red just put a group buy on these

Wanting to get the car flashed soon. Its an 03 JDM and will have the usual plethora of mods, thermal plenum spacer, pop charger, K1. I know i won't get much more tq or hp but I'm looking to get what i can and particularly i'm after WOT through the gears.
Should i do cats first? Not sure how much extra gains i would get for my bucks, also don't want things much loader than the K1 is already
So I know about Abbey and just read about somebody going to RSTuning. Who else is in the game? I'm based in Staffordshire and obviously don't want overlook a more local company if there is one.
Thanks

I find my steering is a lot better since I had my wheel alignment done last weekend. I actually had some toe in which isn't good!
Worth a mention.

What subs / amp did you use? looks very clean and well made
-
wow, i just thought that disks got warped if over heated
.. now there's even more abreviations and acronyms to learn!
Note to self, don't use brakes until topic learned
PS apologies to the original poster, i did click on to try and help

Welcome,
I actually still feel like i'm new, but i just checked and i've been onboard for 10 months now - really should get my head out of my bonnet more
Great bunch on here, good people and an invaluable community if you got a zed
