    My Zed

Hi Sunset350z, Yes it is the one you showed me on ebay. I must admit I am not a fan of the all black interior but I am really happy with the car so the interior is not a big issue. The drivers seat has a couple of scraches on it so If I get some spare pennies then I will have the seats re-leather but change to half orange half black. I am currently in the hunt for an orange gear stick knob or gator Thanks for pointing this car out I love it

    My Zed

Last weekend I bought a Zed privately from a guy in Filey. He was sad to see it go but I can assure him that it has gone to a good home Here are some pics taken this morning:
  3. To lose Ronaldo and Tevez and bring in Owen, Sir Alex must know what he is doing. If this goes wrong the fans are not going to be happy!!
  4. Congrats guys well done and all the best
  5. Spotted on the North Road heading into Retford.
  6. Must of missed something, you got one then. I have not made a thread yet cos I need to take pics but will let you see it soon
  7. No Air Con in our office and its bloody hot. Still only an hour to go and then I can play with my new Z
  8. I have hijacked my own thread here but I just thought I would share my Friday/Saturday with you..... I decided on Friday afternoon that I would just take a quick look at some local Z's. None of them were sunset orange so whilst I had no intention of buying any other colour it would at least open my mind to the options. I looked on auto trader and there was one in Doncaster so off we went to take a look. Gets there "sorry we dont have one and none are in the group stock". Drat oh well, I went back home and looked again on Autotrader and there was one in Mansfield and a sunset orange in Stafford. Rang them up, both had the cars in. Mansfield is not far from me so off we went again. Gets there "sorry we dont have one but there is one in the group stock in Derby". Semi complained about driving over after confirming that they had one and went home. We decided at this point that we were going to head south to Stafford early Saturday and then go north to Filey. The Stafford one looked a bargain, 2006 GT low mileage £13890. So we headed off at 7:45am Saturday morning and arrived in Stafford at 9:15am. We couldn't see the car so at this point worry was set in and guess what.... "we dont have that car sold it ages ago." Really big complaint and walked out. They really couldnt do anything about our complaint but we felt better afterwards... We decided to take a look at the one in Derby, it was black with sat nav and up for £14690. This was way more than my budget so before we test drove the car and stuff the salesman was happy for us to discuss the price and even said there was room to move. After spending 2 hours there the best he would move was -£300. We still thought that he was way over priced and as he wouldnt move anymore we said thanks but no thanks. Now feeling pretty tired we started the 2 hour journey to Filey. Got there (eventually) and started to take a good look round. The car had a few stone chips (to be expected) but was very neat and tidy. The wheels were the nice 18" rays and I fell in love with it. We paid a deposit and will hopefully sort out money this week so that I can collect asap. :) :) The weather in Filey was damp wet and miserable and I have to say I did not fancy test driving someone elses car in this weather but I loved it. I floored the car and it responded woooo :) I think I fightened the owner a little bit Hopefully I can post some pics after I have collected it. Thanks for all your help everyone much appreciated.

  10. York one has fallen through and I am now off to Filey. I will PM Nixy to see if she is free and if the distance isnt too far for her. Thanks for the info Martinmac.
  11. Thanks for the info - I have basic mechanical knowledge so I am definatly not an expert but certainly a noob to this car. My hubby does mad things to his cars all the time and he coming with my on Saturday to look at the 55 one on ebay. I might have a good deal going as he has reduced his price a little I can always change the interior to suit me later....
  12. I am glad I joined now. I really like the Nissmo one but I dont know enough mechanics to know where to start with that one. My hubby is away at the mo and I am away from tonight so I hope that we can find time over the weekend to take a look. The other one looks neat - I would have prefered a few more pictures. I also like the matching Alezan leather in the the Z's that I have been looking at and this is just the plain black (I am picky ) I am up in York on Saturday so I will try and see this one aswell.
  13. lol sorry no I am after one of these 350z's dunno why really Seriously thanks... Even if they do manage to clean the car, several rear enders is not a type of car I am interested.
  14. Hi Gilly and martinmac, A big thank you on this one. I live in Retford North Notts so traveling to Scotland to take a look was with a view to buy. Martinmac put the feelers out for me and I am glad someone has shouted otherwise I would have been up the wotsit without a paddle. Thank you!!!!! Lyndsey
  15. Thanks Sunset - I am going to see the piston heads one on Saturday so I might try and and make a round trip of 350z hunting
  16. Thanks I could not find the nissmo one
  17. Hi Sunset350z, I am hoping to take a look at this one either tonight or at the weekend.. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1102170.htm Going to search ebay now
  18. I must admit I dont like the wheels but then I can always save up and get some newer ones or get these resprayed.
  19. Hi Rich, Where is the dyno session? I may be in Scotland taking a look at a few cars thou..
  20. Hi Steve, Another poster suggested I got in touch with you as you had recently bought one. I do about 20000 miles a year so I was hoping to go low mileage but I dont really want to spend more that £12500. I am looking at this at the moment: http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/vehicle.cfm?Account=AETA14316&Style=2&Id=AETV65405677&Image=http://imageserver.autoexposure.co.uk/autoedit/AETA14316/AETV65405677_1a.jpg Appart from some of the photos have some dodgy lighting I was hoping to pop up next weekend and look at it in more detail. What do you think about it's spec and price? I will also take a gander round ebay
  21. Hi Jay, I am after metallic orange (or is it sunburnt orange not sure...) with matching interior. Not sure if thats my girly hat or me just being picky I have not seen an orange one up close yet but it looks good on pictures I have seen on the net. My hubby thinks it horrible but then he wont be driving it Thanks
  22. Thanks guys... I am a bit of a petrol head, desperate to get rid of my honda diesel....
  23. Hi Everyone, I would just like to say hello. I decided last week that my next car would be a 350z as I am saying goodbye to the company car. I started browsing this forum for tips to look for when buying a 350 and now I am really hooked on the car. I want to get one in the next few weeks hopefully Thanks for the tips I have read so far!! Lyndsey
