Many moons ago I went to Zunsport HQ and got these sized up for the UK zed

They must be buried somewhere, no idea unfortunately. You can recreate it yourself though, all you need is a dark green saxo, some sand and a sponge; apply sand to paint, wash with sponge and allow to dry. Toss water over and boom, instant wet look shed car.

Cov is teeming with Zed's these days, seems to be the car of choice around here. I even see old forum members' cars around that have been sold on.

I guess they are going to base it on a donor vehicle and modify, I highly doubt they will build a car from the ground up.

Bucket of water? Cheaper and quicker than anything mentioned
I did this for the sale pictures of an old saxo I had Apply water then quickly take the pictures
-
Also, take your pictures with a polarising filter. You can make even a filthy car look amazing, 'tis my filter of choice for car snaps!

I would imagine Chris would be less evasive and more cooperative in terms of resolving issues though
Mr Tarmac would rather sort your issue and lose money than leave you with crap kit.

Can't see the point in paying 300 quid on a camera (that's attractive to thieves), to save you from not getting the blame, and being penalised maybe a 100 quid or so.
I've been driving nearly 30 years without so much as a scratch. I guess if you're pretty useless on the road, they're handy to prove it

That blows. How come your pics from the time don't count for anything?
doesn't prove contact was made, only that he was on my side of the road
Sh**ter.
In the dash cam stakes, I went for a very basic one, no GPS/speed or G meter. I figure I don't need it showing me 3 mph over the limit getting side swiped and some clown saying it happened because I was speeding, not because they weren't paying attention.
There's good info over at https://dashcamtalk.com
Can't they just take your frame rate and the distance of travel to work out your speed...
-
I don't think it is actually, the requirement is to inform your insurance of the accident to ensure your insurance remains valid, having valid insurance is what's legally required.
And by inform I don't mean let them deal with it, they just need to know and adjust premiums accordingly.

thanks, I never really left, I just went to get a coffee and got lost on the way back to my PC,
Accidentally impregnated your wife and brought up two kids while the kettle boiled
-
Wonder why they did that? I didn't realise the stock throttle body and associated curved pipe was a restriction.
-
I'm really looking at using a dash cam now, I don't really do the miles to justify it but seeing as even at my low mileage some prick still managed to crash into me... Plus, I can save all the footage of people being nobs on the road, make a compilation and post it here

Your ears are already cup shaped, cauliflower boy.
-
ah the good old days of perforated ear drums and blood on your shoulders
Did you ever get to enjoy the delights of the valve?
It sounded a bit like this
-
Love those things on cars when they work properly.
Best one I think I've heard was on this guy from Driftworks V10 BMW...

[/media]I can't quite tell from the vid but it looks like the same design as the one I got hold of. The motor controlling the valve is bolted direct to it. It just torches the motor and you need to replace it after no time at all really, I have a redesign all sketched up, but I got rid of the Z before fitting, I may well put it on the Celica though
Oh, and christ, that thing is loud
-
My ears are still bleeding since you designed that bloody thing!
The amount of squirrels that died that day was unbelievable!
Haha I hoped you'd see! You were right behind me I think? My mate brought ear plugs, I wasn't so lucky and experienced the full glory of the 350Z Tractor conversion!

350z exhaust bypass valve. Well mk1 which overheated, got stuck open and permanently damaged my hearing during a meet. Never did make mk2

Clearing out the garage and dug up this treasure

The first time I drove in France it took me a while to realise why everyone was indicating while overtaking. But it's actually pretty handy because as you said, you know the car is only overtaking and will move back into the next lane as soon as they've passed. A lot better than trying to guess what people on UK roads are going to do next!
No guessing required, they are going to stay there, until the end of time!

I assume your battery is dead then if the alternator wasn't charging it?
-
I've had totally knackered batteries that show 13v just after charging, Halfords do a free battery health check that checks cranking and charging capabilities etc.
Edit: just don't buy a Halfords battery if yours is duff, they are crap.
What makes them crap?

Do not use a bulb that has a heatsink big enough to short the contacts. It doesn't burn out a fuse, it burns out a track on your BCM, expensive fix for something so trivial, thanks Nissan.

think sidelights should only be able to switch on when the handbrake is on, since they're for when you are parked! And foglights should only be able to come on when the dipped headlights are already on. None of this sidelights and foglights being on when its bright sunlight nonsense.
*Cough*
4. Lighting requirements (113 to 116)
113
You MUST
- ensure all sidelights and rear registration plate lights are lit between sunset and sunrise
*Cough*
- ensure all sidelights and rear registration plate lights are lit between sunset and sunrise
silly question

I know performance diesels are good but they destroy the experience.
"Mmmmm lets go out in my diesel convertible Audi TT, it sounds and smells amazing" Said NO ONE EVER.
