Never ever heard of anyone having a prohibition notice on their car. Can't believe how pedantic they are. You'd be screwed here as you can't lower your car anywhere near as low as you've got yours. Thanks for the magnet info, I may order the brackets for the impact sensors as I've ordered just about everything else for the Nismo bumper (arch liners, engine under tray, tow hook cover) although I refuse to pay 2k for the DRL's or $110 for a Nissan badge .

What prohibition notice? Car is looking beautiful. I pick up my Nismo front bumper this week and I'd like to do what you did regarding the magnets behind the bumper for the front plate. Our plates are metal over here so I've bought a pack of 3 of those Neodymium magnets about 5p coin size, do I just super glue them behind the bumper? Also what did you do with the three front crash impact sensors when you fitted the Nismo bumper ? Keep up the good work

Sorry ,I have another question. Do the sport bumpers headlamp washer jet covers fit the Nismo bumper or do you have to buy Nismo specific ones ? Thanks

Ah nice. Yeh im keeping my eyes on ebay for a rear bumper. Either a V1 or V2, but preferably a V2. I dont want to mess around with painting it as the pearl white is apparently really difficult to colour match, and my OCD wont cope if its not right So looking for one already factory painted.
Im impressed you have preempted that, as i did not There are not holes that i could see, so i unscrewed the sensors from the grill plastic on the old bumper, left them all wired up (as it causes all sorts of error lights that just wont go away if you unplug them apparently), and have just bolted/cable tied them where i can. I found the front crash bar struts the best place. I should have taken a pic, but didnt think before i put the bumper back on. I have got not error lights, and they are all sitting secure, so all good.
That picture is just making me want to find a Nismo rear bumper as soon as possible! Looks great!
Thanks for the info, that's very helpful. The guy you bought your spoiler from has a V1 Nismo bumper for sale. As for painting a good body shop will be able to match it. It will help them if they have your old bumper to colour match with.

You got your spoiler from the same guy I did . I decided that the spoiler doesn’t suit the stock rear bumper so bought a Nismo rear bumper as well but now want to get the Nismo front bumper to complement the rear. Would you mind telling me if there are holes in the Nismo front bumper to bolt in the three front impact sensors ? On the stock sport bumper they bolt behind the number plate plinth area and behind each of the brake duct vent covers (next to the fangs). As the Nismo bumper is very different to the sport it got me wondering where you bolt those sensors. Hope you can help. Here’s what your car would look like with the Nismo rear bumper (oh and Nismo wheels)

Thanks for the info, sadly mine is an automatic.
You can still try disconnecting the battery to turn off the light

I have a 2012 model and my solid yellow key warning light would randomly appear and each time I could clear it by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. I figured out mine was being caused by me adjusting the clutch pedal height(also stopped my cruise control working) once I put the clutch pedal height back to the stock position the key light never came on again.

Correct me if I am wrong but is the front splitter on a Nismo mk 1 part of the bumper
I believe it bolts underneath the bumper and then the engine splash guard then bolts to it

He’s also selling another 370Z Nismo mk1 spoiler with a tiny paint chip although strangely it’s £100 dearer that the one I bought from him.
Also so he as a Nismo front splitter for the Nismo 370Z mk1 front bumper going silly cheap

he is a genuine seller, I’ve bought a brand new 370Z Nismo mk1 rear spoiler from him and it was the real deal.
£225 is a steal

Love the contrast of the carbon against paintwork

My Dad treated his 2005 roadster to an Uprev courtesy of Abbey motorsports. It went from 249 bhp @ hubs to 262bhp @ the hubs which according to Abbey is 305bhp @ the flywheel. He went for pops n bangs and said he absolutely loves the end result and was worth every penny.

Possibly the centre rubber has worked it's way loose and could be off. With regards to bending hangers, I'd always say try this carefully to the exhaust mounted hangers and not the cars ones. Nothing wrong with the car, so try to adjust the exhaust mounted hangers accordingly.
Easier said than done sometimes
-
To bend the hangers (car mounted ones, not exhaust mounted ones) down I used a jack handle slid over them, this made it easy to bend them down . To bend them up (not as easy) I jacked the car up and put blocks of wood under the car until they were touching the hanger and then lowered the car down which bent the hanger up

@Bry Cheers mate!
It'd make perfect sense for me to follow suit and raise mine up as well to be honest. I just can't bring myself to do it
Thankfully the car is no longer a daily so it only gets used maybe once or twice a week. Sure saves me the stress of trying to commute in a car that struggles with basically completely flat roads
Love your dedication

Not sure where your dad lives but if he's able to get to Abbey, he's able to get to this guy.

Previous/current trader on here and his work was always top notch.
He’s on the Kent coast. Thanks for the tip

Where did you see it for £850? That's ridiculous! More like £300-500.

All good suggestions. Already got him a few cool baseball caps. 380RS pedals sounds good. Paying for the uprev is good but that's hid gift to himself so can't really steal his idea. Just looked up getting it detailed and oh my @*!# is that expensive £850 for stage 1 ! You got anything interesting Alex that you've got stashed away. He loves his stock wheels by the way and he can't be arsed to wash the car himself so products would be a waste

I think he meant he’s in oz and his dad is here?
A detail is a good idea. He’ll appreciate it looking at it and driving and easy to organise from afar
Is he into exterior mods? If you want something subtle could do side steps or zunsport grille etc
Keyrings and air fresheners always work well too
He likes the stock look of the exterior. Think I need to make more of an effort for his 70th than a magic tree and a key ring :-) Here's his Z
