Spacers fitted yesterday evening. And a good wash today.

Next on the isolation to do list:

Lay a concrete slab in the garden (not Zed related)

    Polish exhaust

    Re-paint door handles

Something about a stock 350z that looks just “right”. I think Nissan got the design spot on especially with the rays wheels. In my opinion a lot of the body kitted, black painted wheels mods that owners do to 350z’s actually detract from what is a handsome looking car in stock form. I know it’s a person thing (hell I’ve modified my own Z) but here’s a big thumbs up to stock Z’s.

  2. I've just bought a set of used fast intentions HFC's  but I need all new gaskets for them so 2x triangular 3 hole gasket for between HFC and manifold and 2 x diamond shape 2 hole for between HFC and y pipe. I can get them from plenty of places in the States but with shipping to me here in oz it's very expensive so I thought I'd see if anyone had a set lying around for reasonable money.

    Thanks

    Pic for reference

I've also had a Z4M/E92 M3 and their engines are as smooth as silk right up to the redline. Whereas I do love my 370Z for sure but the engine feels pretty rough after about 6000rpm and it goes against the fact that max power is at 7000rpm so really you should be revving it right out to 7500rpm.

The VQ engine does feel far more muscular lower down the revs than the S54/S65 engines I agree.

I'd love a z4m coupe but here in OZ they're do damn expensive.

  4. Welcome. Looks silver in the 3 pics. What brought you back from ze Germans. I went from an E46 M3 to a 370z . I do miss the M3's engine, it was glorious especially with the csl airbox. The 370 engine feels more muscular but just doesn't really seem to have a sweet spot where as the M3 flew after 5500rpm all the way to 8000rpm.

  5. I'm still in OZ and couldn't imagine moving back to the UK but best of luck with your move. 370z's do have a few issues but can be permanently fixed if they need sorting.

Early models (think pre 2012) can suffer from the oil Gallery gaskets failing.

Clutch slave cylinders can fail but plenty of uprated options out there .

Electronic steering lock can fail but pulling the fuse to disable it should prevent it from failing.

Oil temps do run high which is an easy fix by fitting an after market oil cooler.

All cars have weak points and the 370 is no exception but once they've been sorted these are pretty tough old cars .

No worries :) Yeh so that was another little headache. For some reason Nissan decided to make the nismo headlamp washers smaller than the GT spec, so they dont fit in the nismo holes. Well at least the whole unit doesnt. I have decided short term, to just unclip the washer covers and double sided tape them to the bumper. So i dont actually have headlight washers currently.

I have no idea how much the nismo headlight washer units are to buy...

I decided to enlarge the holes, so now they fit fine.
