Though I'd give you guys an update ... I used the Kleen Air can placing by it in the passenger footwell with the seat all the way back ... It's doesn't half make a mess of your dash and windscreen with all the liquid residue ... but it does wipe straight off once complete with out leaving any marks ... I think overall it was worth it ... the smell of the spray has not worn off which is a good thing as it was a bit too citrusy for my liking ...

Thanks alot for your suggestions guys ... I don't like the idea of the Kleen Air product leaving a mess on my dash and windscreen ... I might just cover the surrounding area with some cloth to minimise the cleaning effort afterwards ... I've decided I'll give the Kleen Air thing a go and if all else fails I'm gonna try washing more often ... but that's only as a last resort LoL ...

I thought it was worth a try for £7 delivered anyway so will keep you posted with the results..

Just thought I'd mention that yesterday I tried to re-program my spare key fob and had a few problems. I followed the process diagram from the guides section but still somehow managed to wipe my existing fob and immobilise my car! Luckily I was parked outside my house ... Anyway after about an hour of messing around I managed to get back to where I started. It turns out the spare key fob was faulty and was not able to register with the car. I think I'm gonna leave it for a bit now before I try again ... LoL

Hey guys, I had the Tonneau Cover fitted on the car when I purchased it but have only just noticed that one of the top brackets is missing completely. I went down to my local Nissan dealer and they said that the cover comes as a kit and they wouldn't be able to get me the part separately ... and I don't wanna pay for the whole lot when I only need one piece ... Does anyone have one of these lying around or know somewhere where I can source one of these from? Any help is much appreciated ...

LoL ... what colour is your Zed? I'll keep an eye out for it around Leicester ... I saw 2 black Zeds parked up off Welford road over the weekend and an Orange one near St Margaret's Bus Station ... Also noticed that UV have one in their carpark being worked on ....

Yeah I'm feeling pretty happy about the whole thing now ... I've been pretty stressed out with it since the day it happened ... I'll be sure to post some pre and post repair pictures once the work is done ... But it just goes to show that sometimes the dealer can actually be your best bet!

Hey guys, I've got the Xanavi Sat Nav unit installed in my '04 Zed and so am still using the 2004 Software and Maps ... I was wondering if anyone knew what the most current version Software and Map Discs were ... and also where I could get my hands on them ... CHEAP! Any help much appreciated .. Thanks

Hey guys ... Just thought I'd fill you in on recent events with the car situation ... I've been getting a quote everyday this week from insurance approved bodyshops around my area ... and they've been comming in at around £800 - £1000 ... Every bodyshop has been telling me that I'm going to need the the most part of that side painted ... which is fair enough; if it's gonna look as good as new ... So today I thought I'd try my local Nissan Main Stealer ... just for a laugh really ... and they gave me a quote of £488 including VAT .... how good is that? and they are even gonna give me a courtesy car while the work is being carried out! And to think I wasn't even going to try there because I assumed it'd be Alot more then everywhere else ...

Hi, Thanks for the info above I'm sure it'll be very useful to me ... Although I do have a few questions ... Does the key that's in the ignition have to be the one which you are re-programming? My situation is that I have just purchased a second keyfob from eBay which will need cutting ... but in the mean time can I use my exisiting key to do the "ON - LOCK" procedure and then press the buttons on my new keyfob? I will be getting the new keycut at somepoint but would like to know that I have the programming part of it done before ... just being impatient LoL

Thanks for the support / adivce guys ... I'm from Leicester so if anyone knows a good bodyshop thy could reccommend that would be great ... I spoke to the third party and he doesn't want to go through insurance ( for obvious reasons ) ... and I'd prefer it if it was repaired without putting a claim in either ... I've already got a quote but the guy was talking about painting some of the door and most of the rear quarter ... It's not actually that bad now after some T-Cut and elbow grease but there is still a minor dent on the door and some paint missing from the rear quarter ... would it be wise to have Chips Away come and have a look ... I'd prefer there was as little impact to surrounding paintwork as possible ....

Hey guys ... I'm a newbie to the forum and have only had my Z for a few days now ... so far I'm loving every minute driving it! Anyway just thought I'd tell you the bad luck I had already though ... So I picked up my Z on Saturday afternoon after a 3 month search for a decent one, got it home safely parked up and went out to celebrate with some mates ... Woke up n Sunday and thought I'd treat the Z to a full tank of V-Power and a valet ... I get to the petrol station and wait in the queue to fill up ... some old guy ( later found out was 82 ) decides he's had enough of waiting at the pump beside me and so starts reversing his car ... I could see it happening in slow motion but couldn't move forward or back as there were cars also waiting ... so I held down the horn hoping he'd notice me ... but no ... he went and scraped the drivers side of my car!! I was fuming! Turns out the guy is deaf and wears hearing aids so couldn't hear the horn and he'd also had 2 accidents in the last week not including this one ... I've now gotta get a quote to have the small dent and scratches sorted ... when I should be out enjoying the car! It's just not right ... some people just shouldn't be on the road .... There ... I feel better now that I've let it all out ... LoL
