  1. Guess its time for some new tyres for crimbo then, me thinks
  2. mmmm maybe its my tyres then. My esp comes on without spinning up the tyres not that i do that while driving anyhow, smoothly does it mine has the Bridgestones on which by what i read on here arent the best tyres to have Any way this isnt about silly driving, i am responsible at all times, mainly because i ALWAYS assume there is a dick-ed coming the other way that isnt, i just wondered how everyone elses car reacted to the esp as i just thought it was a tad agressive.
  3. Good point Vik, car has just had Gear and diff oils done and a full winter health check including geo. Front tyres are low but still have 3.5mm on them. Roads are just a bit slurpy at the mo but i didnt think the ESP would has such agressive impact unless its just my Zed ? How does your car feel when it come in ? mine proper sh1ts me up
  4. I am liking Alex's thinking. To be honest mine is off now, i much prefer to know whats happening under my right foot rather then what might happen in a little black box of gadgets One thing that has really impressed me about the Zed is its predictability ! Reassuring As far as the time of year goes, i agree but with ESP off you need to know your own ability and have respect for the obvious too
  5. Hi all, Just wondered how many of you lot drive with the esp on or off ? I have had my Zed for about 6 weeks now and i have lost count how many times i have given birth everytime my Zed wants to cut the power, its VERY un-nerving dont get me wrong, i aint no Tiff Needell (Tiff's favorite car by the way ) but i do have quite a lot of experience with rear wheel drive from my cosworth days but i am of the opinion that the ESP is just too sensitive. Whats your experiences and opinions on this ?
  6. We do have our own time zone Martin, its still the dark ages and we still go down bottom of the garden for number 1's and 2's Thanks for the link. Sorted. back in the loop

  10. Hi mate, and welcome. Only had mine a month or so now but cant belive what a monster of a car it is awesome. Good luck with the search, there are plenty about, its just finding that 'one' you want
  11. Bump ! Sorry to bump but after the Castleford meet i really need this rubber strip it lets my car down. Please help me someone
  12. Totally agree about the price !! its ridiculous for such a unexpensive item, the cost of the strip must be pence to Nissan. I think the art in taking one off it from the interior side with the window down "obviously lol" and slowly but surely just raise a small area at a time moving along in small increments. I will PM R5LEE and introduce myself and see if he can help. Thanks for the input N!ck-z
  13. Hi peeps, just wondered if anyone has a mint condition drivers door seal/blade thing ? Where the door meets the window (externally) there is a rubber/metal strip that goes from the very end of the door near the "B" post right to the mirror. I called Nissan and a new one is £127 plus VAT !!!! LMFAO Was hoping it would be around £30 mark. Can anyone help me please. Cheers.
  14. OK, just a follow up on events. thanks for all your input, especially Rich who sent me a great guide for the removal of the console. Got it all sorted in 15mins and the code was free from Nissan once i had the serial numbers they needed. Thanks again everyone....i now have Maiden dulling out the drive train whurring again bliss Regards. V
  15. A tissue !!! chips away i will keep my opinion to myself on that one. Personaly i would just use the base coat, apply it with a needle or indeed a cocktail stick if it has a good point and try over about 3 or 4 coats to slowly build up the "hole" the chip has created leaving each application a good half hour in the sun to dry. Thats all you can do really for stone chips without going to expensive lengths. And as gunmetalzgt stated earlier dont be too alarmed that the base looks blue at first, it will dry very close to the colour you want. There are many paint colours in paint itself that are mixed to create the correct shade, back in my day when we used to use isocyanate based paints, even black had white in it !!!!
  16. Also, as the chips are usually smaller then the 3" brush they supply at the end of these paint pens be sure to use something like a needle to apply the base and top coat if using it. NEVER apply the paints outside the area being repaired as this causes the area to become raised and look even worse then just a chip as it will stand out like a sore thumb. See if you can apply it in full sunlight too as this will make the drying time shorter and try to leave it a day before waxing too because though the base might feel dry it will still be soft. Good luck mate.
  17. Thats right mate, use the base colour on the chip making sure the area is clean, when dry about 20mins use the damp gause to lightly smooth over the area and then cover with the top coat. Be sure not to shake the clear coat too much as this fills it with bubbles and make the repair look milky. Its not perfect but its not too bad either. I actually sacked off the clear coat as it discoloured the base coat so i just applied plenty of polish to protect the base colour. Hope this helps a little. V.

    Which battery?

Glad your sorted, i too have just had to get a new battery. last weekend actually, ended up going straight to Halfords as it was Sunday, got a 4yr warranty with it and they fitted it too for £85 I thought that was not a bad price personaly. I know Halfords isnt everyones cup of tea but i got fantastic service and was totally happy.
  19. Hi Anna. I am doing exactly the same fluid change this month along with some plugs. According to a Nissan tech guy the gear box takes 2.9 ltr and the diff 1.4 ltr the above grades are correct, only thing i forgot to ask was should the oil be synthetic or not ? Any thoughts on this peeps ? Cheers, Vale. P.S. Trade price from Nissan for both oils to cover the quantitly needed was £33 plus VAT and an oil fiter was £7.41 plus VAT

  21. Jeezzzz man, nothing is ever simple is it ! I have called every man his dog today to get a code for my Zed with no results Nissan cant get the code from the chassis number, they can only get it from a number on the side of the radio unit at a cost of £40.... but i can have the code for free !!!!
