  1. Was that on the way out? sorry dude if I didn't acknowledge you I was so annoyed with the queue getting out, it took us an hour to just get out of the pod gates . I can't believe they did't clean and polish the new 370z and GTR for the day they were a discrace.
  2. I was up against a Stupidly fast RX7 that kicked out more smoke than a rover diesel. Traction control stayed off and there's room for improvement. There was so much time between runs as It was so busy I just couldn't get a rythym going. 2nd gear is a bitch on my car to get in when your driving balls out in first so that didn't help - crunch crunch I could really do with a run what ya brung day were I could get some quick runs in succession. did you strip the car like spare wheel, passenger seat etc to get a 13.8 - as thats my plan for next time
  3. mines chewing my belt up so if anyones got a second hand one knocking around they want cash for drop me a pm
  4. Had a cracking day and my best run was a 14.7 which I was well chuffed with from a stock roadster.
  5. quality, if it were true that would be the coolest diesel ever
  6. Don't think I'm gonna be competing with some of them times registered just for the grin though
  7. being a roadster mines gonna be that bit slower so 14.6 eh. I'll post up on Sunday when I get back cheers for the info I'll make sure I do at least one with the TC on to see what happens
  8. But the traction control just bogs you down, it would be good just to get you off the line for a few secs but then would loose you power/time on the go. As sticky and dry as the pod strip looks it can be very hard to get the power down on the start area possibly due to the watered down burnout area.
  9. After owning 2 GT4's and still being in ownership of one, thats what guts me about the 350z, you'd think a 3.5L car with 280bhp standard would have more guts/performance, although in fairness I bought mine for the looks and wow factor. I feel a turbo conversion coming on soon to give the Z the power it's looks deserve I'm kinda hoping for 14 anything down the strip from the Z but heh at least I'll look cool going slow if not
  10. Christ dude what power where you running in the GT4, I've had two fairly standard ones and only managed 13.9's
  11. I'm off to japfest at the pod at the weekend and was gonna drag my roadster down the strip. Before I embarrass myself I wondered what kind of times I should expect from a standard car??
  12. Sorry for the post hac Where do you get the coloured bolt bottom thingy's from you have in blue on your engine bay, I keep seeing them and want some purple ones.
  13. I'll post the prinyout as soon as I get it. To be fair on the day most cars were coming out under powered. Acouple of standardish civic type R's only made 190bhp and there 200 standard and my mates Type S prelude only made 200bhp and thats stage 1 modded and 225bhp standard, so it was a bit fishy. Thinking of taking the car to Noble motorsport in Chesterfield so they can do a sensor check and power run as the car itself runs really well with no evident faults.
  14. managed to send these back to Japspeed in exchange for some de-cats. Cheers for the interest.
  15. cheers. There genuine nissan belts only cost me about £15 from a dealer aswell. I'll try and nip the up a bit more. i actually thought they may have been tightened too much - would this make them squeel?
  16. I had the belts changed about a month ago and ever since then they scream for a few seconds when the car is started but not again after that initial spurt. I've had the belts back off and re-fitted but it seems to be worse now. Is there a set torque for the belts? Has anyone else had this problem? Any help appreciated as its getting embarrassing
  17. I'm kinda hoping that the figure I got of 256bhp is wheel horespower not flywheel as that would be more realistic from what you guys have said - I'll check when I get my dyno printout soon, as he ran out of ink on the day so he couldn't print it out. Although according to the 15% that would make the car about 290bhp to the flywheel.
  18. Looks like a new set of plugs would be a good start, any reccomendations for the plugs NGK Iridiums?? Don't suppose there's a how to on here somewhere?

    Decats...

Someone has a friendly MOT tester
  20. How often should the plugs be changed? the cars just done 60,000 and probably has the original ones in
  21. surely a cone filter can't lose you 20bhp. My celica gt4 with just an induction kit ran 255bhp, which is spot on standard power. I'm tempted to go back with the standard filter and see what happens.
  22. Took my 2005 350z roadster to a rolling road day on saturday and the car only produced 256BHP to the flywheel. It only has a JWT pop charger but aren't they supposed to be 276bhp standard? It's just had a full fluid service and has no running issues, I'm gutted to say the least. Has anyone else had this experience?? I have heard that the cars cats have to be fully heated to make top power and this is the only thing I can think of why the car didn't reach around the 276bhp mark??
  23. there a direct replacement so even use standard belts. As far as fitting ease, I'm unsure as I'd have got a mechanic to do them. They are cheap to buy but I guess japspeed aren't as renound as someone like Stillen for this kind of product. A bit like when KHUMO tyres first came out they were cheap as chips and now theyr'e getting around the've become dearer. PM me if your interested.
  24. Yeh, If I fit the pulleys they'll void my warranty which don't run out for 2 years, so there up for sale It's not like you can wip em on and off like a de-cat or induction kit
