  1. I love the coloured lip on those but it's definately a marmite lip
  2. Get some polish you can use in sunlight I've been caught out with this when I used to use Meguires stuff but since I started using poorboys and dodo juice I've never had issues
  3. how much are you looking at paying as I'm interested in getting a 07 bonnet for mine, so my original gunmetal 2005 bonnet would be up for grabs. It's never had a respray and does have some chips but nothing major. I could pm pics if your really interested. I'm based in Mansfield too, so not far away.
  4. I like you, your a funny guy I do understand the issues and am fully onside with the mods/admin, but also get sick of reading threads were people are getting ripped up for a genuine mistake. Oh and also people getting ripped for trying to help or voicing an opinion!!! That was the reason for the thread - TO GET A SOLUTION. sounds like you were on the case already though, so my apologies for the interferance
  5. That wasn't the idea at all - i hoped it would highlight the problem and create a solution. I guess it depends on how you interpret it, and for some it would be to see the worst in it without thinking, which is why we have the problem in the first place. I prefer the word debait more than argument
  6. I run a forum myself and get totally peed off with users just coming on to sell things, so totally understand the problems.
  7. It's not a problem at all and infact a really good idea! I agree that if your selling something, the potential buyer needs re-assuring you have the said goods. It's the people that miss the rule and then get ripped to shreds for a simple mistake that they've just missed - thats the problem. So it's a matter of publicising the notice better!! My apologies but Someone had to say something! What have you decided to do? by the way do you realise you said bitching 3 times in that sentence
  8. I really used to like this forum but of recent it's turned in to a total bitchathon especially in the for sale section, with these new rules and I want the love back . I myself hadn't noticed the new rules on putting your username on your item for sale, and only sussed it through the bitching of others for sale posts and some is really uncalled for. Can a mass e-mail be sent to users to notify them of the new rules or perhaps another way? Sadly people sometimes don't genuinly see whats in front of their face. I'd say the majority of forum users when they first registered would have read all of the rules and now just get on with it rather than looking out for updates that simply aren't that blatent. Even bold text or coloured writing would help. Comon mods sort it out, We don't want a cracking forum turning into the Skyline OC which is one big bitchfest to say the least.
  9. had them on about a month now mate, they really have changed the look of the car hows your new wheels?
  10. Here's two more pics front and back. The pipes in the same condition all round, so spot on. As for postage I'll nip into Parcel force tomorrow and get a price.
  11. I bought mine in near mint condition with good tyres for about £1300 about 6 months ago
  12. I'll have a look and post a pic tomorrow. Where are you based as I could deliver so far or meet you somewhere within a reasonablr radius?
  13. thats the trouble with this forum, too many people taking the p*ss all the time If you can't be serious or have no interest in the item don't post up. Now will this fit a 2005 350 roadster good luck with the sale mate
  14. It's definatley the best £200 I've spent on the car and I've spent a fair few £200's on it
  15. not much point buying a 3.5L V6 with 300bhp if your not going to drive it and to be fair in the right conditions you could spin a Z with minimum throttle. I agree on the experience bit though, the 350z is something that only time and practice can tame A track day would really give you an idea of how to drive/control the car. As for the car pinning you in your seat. These were my expectations after owning a Celica GT4 and upgrading to a Z, it's just the 350z is so much more refined and you don't seem to notice the acceleration as much. Add a turbo and you'd be pinned
  16. Hell yes! Dragging at the pod tought me that The TCS just bogs the car down to avoid wheelspin, which is the feeling of being put through the windscreen when you accelerate hard rather than being pushed back in your seat. I generally turn mine off all summer and in the dry and just use it in the wet, as the z can be unforgiving in wet/icy conditions. If the guy could drive properly he should have wasted that WRX, it's the STI's that are an issue (you need a clinic to sort those ).
  17. Thought I'd share my K1 experience with you all, it's a bit heavy but worth a read especially for K1 owners: I bought a K1 about 9 months ago and had it fitted at exhausts uk in Sheffield, when fitting they encounted the problem of the midpipe locking up against the support beam under the car (coupes don't have this issue as they don't have the beam). They packed some rubber matting on the beam to stop the exhaust catching but reccommended I get a custom Y pipe made by them and they could then lift the exhaust away from the beam. Over the last 9 months the exhaust hasn't rattled too much infact more so with the bungs in than without. I love the sound of the K1 with the bungs out but hate the drone it makes at cruising speeds so the rattling has started to get to me of late. On Saturday I went back to exhausts uk to have a Y pipe fitted and create the perfect cat back K1. After 6 hours of waiting the job was done. The guys married up an off the shelf 350z Cobra high flow Y section to the K1 sytem by cutting it down and shaping it to clear over the support beam. I don't think they anticipated how long the job would take but to be fair they were'nt working on it the whole 6 hours I was there. The Y pipes are £150 and they charged me the £50 labour I agreed to pay before they started, so £200 all in (think I did well there ) I took some pics but they are rubbish so I'll get it on the ramp at work and take some better ones soon. A bit blurred but here's the Y pipe This shows the clearance I now have compared to before when it was sat on the beam My biggest concern in getting this done was that although the exhaust was going to be rattle free it would be far louder, but infact it's the total opposite. On the way home down the M1 I left the bungs in and there was bearly a murmer from the car at cruising speed but the car was so smooth to drive and seemed to pull far better, it also sounded mint when you floored it. When I got home I dispatched the bungs and took her for a drive, the car now sounds more sporty and has lost some of that K1 heavy growl, but the best of all has lost its cruising drone. So the bungs have now been officially dispatched. The car runs far smoother and pulls so much better, it's like the standard Y pipe has been restricting the whole exhaust and now it's free So to end, I can't reccommend Exhausts Uk enough and for anyone with a K1 I think a sports Y - pipe is a must to get the most out of your car. I can't vouch for the Y - pipe that japspeed sell but the cobra one I have fitted for £150 is great and would be a simple job to put on a coupe. And for all you roadster owners, don't settle for a rattle ridden K1, go out and get it sorted as the won't regret it In the words of ronald " I'm loving it"
  18. you ordered coilovers already Should get your exhaust sorted saturday aswell and then it'll soon be re-map time looking at what you've done/spent on the car, I'm starting to feel I'm semi responsible for clearing your bank out
  19. I'd get the car a proper 4 wheel alignment and take it from there
  20. Thats great, thanks for sharing the knowledge. Let us know how you get on with the patching Dave
  21. cheers for that, to be fair it was a major bargaining point in the purchase of my car and saved me about 1k so it's never bothered me too much. Don't suppose you'd be able to give any reccomendations for a repair within 100 miles of the notts area and a rough cost so I know I'm not getting robbed ?
  22. here's mine and sorry for the postjack.
  23. get a picky up, I think I have the same problem where the glue has come away from the seam on the top corner. The hoods still water tight though as it's glued from the inside and double stitched. Mines been like this since I bought the car over a year ago and never leaked. I asked a couple of roof repair companies and both said that replacing the entire canvas would be cheaper, as if it was repaired they would have to take the whole canvas off the frame re glue it and couldn't guarantee the repair due to the tension applied to the roof when re-fitted.
  24. there's hope for me yet
