  1. Been to nissan today but didn't fancy paying the £90 ph labour charges for them to look at it, so I rapidly retreated. Although the tech guy did say that the roof does tend to stiffen up over winter due to the cold weather, in turn putting extra stress on the motors at the final stages of closure. He said to either leave it till the weather warmed or soak the roof to unstiffen it and then opening it and leave it open over night/24hours which should help ease it up. I'll give it a bash and post back.
  2. I know this threads been posted before but it never really reached a conclusion from what I've read. It's a common problem that after not using the roof for long periods of time, it wont fully retract. I GREASED the large cogs and anything else that looked like it needed doing and eventually after about 10 goes up and down in order to work in the grease, the roof finally went down fully. That was 3 days ago and now its sticking again Does anyone know what needs greasing specifically and what grease to use? And am I going about correcting this problem the right way or should I be making a trip to nissan? Any help would be appreciated as you'd be helping all roadster owners not just me, as I see this being an ongoing issue for all roadster owners.
  3. Can't believe your selling the FTO Amy, it has to have been one of the sweetest looking cars at this seasons shows!!! Are you getting a coupe or a roadster to replace? I'll look forward to seeing your car at next years shows.
  4. I have'nt used mine for a month and had the same problem yesterday. It got to the last fold and stopped but I brought it up and back down and all was well. Is there a how to on the greasing or is it just a matter of putting some spray grease on all the joints?
  5. my mate has these on a vr6 golf, there like kerb magnets
  6. I had this smell for a few months after buying my car and it turned out to be the belts needed replacing. Cars been smell free ever since. It's worth a look. Check your belts are ok and not being chewed up, just run the car with bonnet up and have a look, you'll know if it is this as you'll smell it from the belts and you'll see bits of belt possibly on your overflow coolant bottle. Not saying it's defo this but worth a crack as the belts are only about £25 to replace.
  7. I can try and find a price for posting, unless anyone knows a cheap courier for tyres. Could always try these http://www.parcel2go.com/ PM me if your definately interested.
  8. don't want to start a dyno argument but a run was made with and without the filter and that was the power loss. They make a mint noise though and I'm sure with other mods they will eventually provide gains in power but on a stock car I don't think there will be gains. So it's more for looks and noise in my opinion.
  9. I lost 5bhp on the dyno with my JWT on a single induction engine. HkS panel filter fitted now
  10. Yeh just the one, I bought it as part of an alloy wheel deal and have no use for it as when I come to change my tyre's again I'll be fitting toyo's. Not that the falkens not a good tyre I'm just a tyre snob
  11. Open to offers as I could do with the space in my shed for my new wheels over the winter
  12. I have an as New Falken FK452 Tyre, size 245 35 19. The tyre is brand new and unused I've had a look on Camskill and they are £119.30 http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s336p6229 I'm looking for around £100 and am happy to deliver within a 20 mile radius of Notts. I'm based in Mansfield (NG19 9SJ) I'm unsure on postage so collection would be prefered.
  13. welcome to 350z ownership What celica did you upgrade from?
  14. I fitted new belts on my car in Feb after 60K and then they started to squeel. If you tighten them up and they still squeel it'll be one or both of the tensioners which need replacing. I replaced both tensioners on mine and there's been no squeeling ever since. hope this helps as it drove me crazy for a month when mine were squeeling.
  15. Now sold to Sparky350z!! never noticed any difference with the JWT but have gained 4-5 mpg since fitting my k1
  16. prov sold to sparky350z I bought the induction kit to give the car some noise as I think 350z's are quite quiet standard, but if your getting a K1 it will just drown the kit out and make it pointless. Unless your going down the tuning route as rtbiscuit said.
  17. Had this on the car since Jan and done about 2000 miles with it fitted, it's in good nick with everything included in the sale. There's some light scratching around the chrome on the top of the cone but this can't been seen when fitted and the filter is still very clean. I've just changed to a HKS super hybrid panel filter for now until I find an enclosed intake that fits the bill, so this is the reason for the sale. The filter sounds mint with a stock set up, but now I have a Japspeed K1 exhaust I can't hear it anymore I'm looking for £80 delivered ( I think there about £125 new at the mo) Cheers Matt
  18. Don't think I had any tyres left at that point It was later in the day yeah.

  23. The K1 is possibly the single best purchase I've ever made for my zed. It sounds amazing with or without bungs I'm sure you won't be dissapointed unless you use your 350 as a rep car and not a weekend play thing. just thought I'd get in before all the quiet exhaust lovers post up
