  1. Will be good to see the beast in action Will indeed! I dont like the castle as a drift track so normaly take it easy there, not to mention the lack of run off on most corners Should be cool thogh, youl have to wait to see the format
  2. My girl is not like normal girls!!! I get her flowers il get a punch so i got her a head gasket for her drift car and sorted a gearbox conversion, along with a few steering locks mods = WIN
  3. Cool, i hadnt herd from you i thogh you no longer wanted to sell them. Please sort it asap
  4. Il be doing the drift demos at this Il have to come say hi
  5. Got the fuel rail back from a mate whos doing the tig and CNC work. Had the cheapo top feed injector conversion rings machined so i can use and O ring to seal them! Custom made fuel rail Starting to get tight for space under there!! Planning bonnet vents! Got the custom made bits back from another mate with another CNC machine! These extend the s14 rear toe arms so i can fit them in place of the stock spring pan arm. Im going to get them plated in silver pasivate, same as the nuts and bolts just silver. And finished the lines, i ran out of hose for the last meter!!
  6. Time for pics people!! Id update every night with little bits if i had time! Made up turbo oil and water lines with mini oil filter for the turbo Finished all the brake and clutch lines. When i say finished, i mean made up not final fitted. Forgot i never showed a pic of the oil sandwich plate thing i had made fitted Hydro, courtousy of DriftWorks, with a custom braket Cam covers drilled and ready to have the -10 breather fittings welded in Now, how to make a mandril bend tighter with out comprimising flow! Can make 3x 90 deg bends from 1x 180deg bend! What is it for???? This!!
  7. Wheels are gone and sold sorry! £1100 takes the lot
  8. This is the vid i said to search, it should sound some thing like this.
  9. Pic time again Starting to get really excited now!! Even thogh im short quite a few bits to finish it, its starting to shap up nicely!! If any one wants to sponsor me a twin plate clutch, some brakes, front camber arms or cash, please PM me! lol :wack: Some more bushenating Big thanks to my mate Mike for giving a hand cleaning and painting various parts Glad to announce yet another sponsor for the year, Hel performance hoses have kitted the car out with some brake lines! BTW these and any products from Hel, SuperPro, Pipercross, Japspeed and Driftworks can now be purchased at S-Body Automotive (my company) Slight modifications to the HSD's to allow the car to be lowerd more, 23mm to be exact! Diff cleaned, painted, welded locked, and fitted, along with the exhaust, prop shaft, bracing and front suspension.
  10. Cheers guys Hopefully over the next 7 days il make some decent progress as my girlfriend is going home for a while! So I can do some proper late nights! Curently only working on it from 6pm till 9/10pm, I can now crack on till the early hours Using the Toyota engine as they will do 600/700hp on a stock engine, costing pence compared to the same power on a vq, also with out the heat issuses with the vq. Not to mention they sound fricking awesome!! YouTube search friends racing 1000ps aristo!
  11. Nice shiny Japspeed arms Test fitting a 12j et20 18", at 1st glance i thoght it wouldnt work but with a bit of a flare and a stretch it will look mighty fine!!! That is as low as the coilovers will go so a bit of playing there to be done, this has got to be ubber low to pull 18" rims off! Even with poke out!
  12. Pic time!!! Had the guy next door make this for me on his CNC lave, its so i can ditch the standard oil cooler and oil filter housing and run two sandwich plates. One for the oil cooler and one for sensors. Also with just the oil cooler one i couldnt get the -12 pipe to clear the block. If any one wants one made, for two sandwich plates or one i can get them done! Spent some time cleaning all the suspension bits il be using! Drill and a wire mop, some scotch bright and a bit of sand paper. Before After a dip and electro plating Bit of cleaning and painting the steel bits Also, im very please to announce a new sponsor, SuperPro have kindly supplied me with all the bushs i could possably need! ta da So before i could fit it all up i had to sort the fuel tank breather Plenty of copper grease on every nut and bolt
  13. Damn this forum needs a multi quote button! lol Yes the crash bar is not finished, it will be getting welded up to put some strength back in. I have debated to run with or with out it. Most cars iv built before and most cars on the track have them removed for a number of reasons, mainly weight and they get in the way, also if removed and you have an impact on one side and the chassis leg is bent the crash bar pushs the other leg accross too, so you have two legs to make streight rather than one. I feel with this chassis its quite important to keep it there for the chassis/handling. Not to mention to protect that peice of crap plastic front end and coolers as there so close, as i WILL be knocking and bumping into thing regularly The vq35 is quite a hard engine to keep cool, the 2jz is not so bad! Not that heat is not going to be a problem with this! I will be doing demos in Germany and Portugal throgh the summer so of course there is more to it than just the coolers. the bonnet is bearly going to exsist, its being chopped up to vent the hot air out and cold air in. of course doing demos in hot wether, your not going fast so that alone willl not be enough. So i am fitting a water spray system, using 6 screen wash jets to spray the oil cooler and rad, with a 10ltr drum. This will be wired to a two way switch, one so i can hold it on for as long as i like, the other fitted with a timed flashing relay, so it will spray for say a second then off for 2seconds etc etc. The HKS ecu is able to conroll the fans to come in at what ever temp i like, il also have a bypass switch so i can turn them on constant. The ecu will also be programed to run richer than it needs to be to aid cooling, along with putting more in once the coolant temp reachs a chosen temp, probs 90degs. Once it reachs 100degs the ignition will also be retarded. Also, the turbo housing and manifold are going to be ceramic coated. Fingers crossed that will be enough
  14. Yes, im guessing its going to be loud my s14 mesured 110 at idle also and 134db at 3.5krpm. But for that i had two exhaust systems, so if i was going to a track where i know they have noise problems i stuck the other system on with 4 silencers. The other had none just two bolts and slid it off the hangers, i plan to do the same with this, aswell a a removable cat as im going to keep it road legal. Still has MOT till july This being turbo thogh will automaticly be quieter than the same exhaust on a vq35, as the turbo quietens exhaust noise
  15. Cheers guys, thats much better the comments make it worth while posting up I can see where your comming from about why your not posting, but a bit of encuragment and the odd comment is a great help Cheers, there is some cool ideas there, defo could have done with that befor i started lol. I dont like that cage atal thogh, very strange, its got a load of bars missing that 99% of other cages have lol. I dont know how much they weigh, but im guessing not alot as there alloy. But yea it would have made the back of the car lighter and there would be less unsprung weight. I think the reason manurfactures use inboard springs is for space, as with out the spring round the damper the inner wings can be smaller which gives more cabbin space. The spring on these just touch the inner wing behind the strut, so im going to have to mod them slightly lol
  16. Yea i have seen the arms, but they cost money lol! Il just make some Cheers Chris, you seem to be the only one interested? Maybe il stop posting it on here? if no one is interested in it any more?? So i went up to Earls today to get a load of fittings!! £470 and thats with 33% discount lol And got on with making front brake lines, ripping the front suspension off and fitting the HSD's Brake line
  17. Its that time again! Not done too much as im waiting on parts which i couldnt afford :wack: now iv sold my daily s14a i can crack on again Oil pipes, one way valve and T for Accusump. Made a few fittings to get welded in to the boost pipes, one for the air temp sensor and the other for boost control (one for each wastegate and one for the controller) Fuel tank got a clean and paint Some under floor bracing and filler neck fitted HSD's Neck protector Thinking of swapping out the stock spring pan arm for a modified s14 toe arm. Its about 3inch too short ATM. Pipercross came and mesured up for my new filter And i got the fuel tank in, along with a few other cleaned up and painted bits Now iv got a bit of cash from the daily tomorow il be ordering all sorts of bits so i can move on!
  18. Time for an update! Been busy mocking up the front end, pipe work, coolers etc!! Damn its tight up there! If i ever have a bump on the front il be out for that day!! Hence the crash bar staying there, among other reasons! Oil coolers mounting and pipes They have 90deg bends on which tuck up nicely along side the rad, sending the pipes off in the right direction. This is with a 70mm core cooler just for mock up until the 100mm core turns up. Had to trim a fair bit off the crash bar. Big thanks to Driftworks for the coilovers Masive thanks to Japspeed for a hole host of parts, including all the alloy pipe work, exhaust parts, suspensions arms, intercooler, rad..... The intercooler pipe work is now ready for welding, just going for one pipe each side, so less silicon needed. Trick with the pipe work on this is to keep it high on the hot side so i can get the air filter under it, seing as there is not alot of space the filter will be up against the pipe work, so having the hot pipe high is better for heat reasons. Also the pipe work has to be as far forward as poss as the wheels are not far from each corner, giving hardly any room infront of the wheel, especialy on lock! Thats all folks!!
  19. Bit of an update, been busy the last 3 days. Got a Dymo to do sticker lables for the switchs, but it looks poo so iv borrowed a Brother lable printer. This is what it looks like with Dymo, prety poo, not to mention how crooked they are!! The Brother is much better, prints smaller so i dont have to abbreviate so much and its black print on white back, so will be better in the dusk to see. Converted the N/A sump to turbo buy getting a -10 fitting welded in for turbo oil return. Finished the oil pick up and baffle plate sump finished with dash of paint Sump fitted Engine in da hole Tight!!! New Japspeed 350z alloy rad, chopping and modding the 350gt fans to fit! Plenty of clearance with out the fans on, not so easy with the fans!! So i had to trim loads of the plastic front end to move the rad forword so it all fitted!! Moved forword and fans fitted, also very tight!! Gear stick extension perfect thanks to Mr Stevos fabrications and my mesurments Japspeed 1jz top mount conversion Vband down pipe fits perfect with out a mod needed Oh, another Jz conversion going on at camp Falken, this is Matt Carters s14.5 going 1jz vvti with HKS30/37! You can see how much more room you have in an S-Body for the conversion!! Started mocking up some pipe work! It probs going to poke out the bonnet a little but i dont want to comprimise on the radious of the bend and there is no way it can go down! Mocking up cooler locations Iv got a 100mm intercooler to go between the crash bar and the coolers, currenty there is only a 90mm gap, but trimming the bar and moving the coolers will see it in there no problem. So thats it for now, waiting on a few bits to turn up now and some things to sell, bank is empty!!!
  20. Ok found a bit of time for a small update. Been bolting a few bits on, pics below! Dash and scuttle just test fitting. Admireing the shinyness! Looked at the key ring to see that its JDM YO!! Pedal box, column, wiper motor, vin plate and brake servo final fitted Dash test fitting and more trimming Seat and wheel Next is to finisht he sump and oil pic up, sit down and make a list of bits i need to final fit the engine, get it bolted in and pray to god i find the money to buy the clutch ASAP!
  21. Yep thats prety much what its going to look like, lower and better wheels thogh Cheers guys today we got paint!! WOOP WOOP!! Oh and my custom prop arived!! So we got it in the booth this morn! Masive thanks to Matt Carter for towing it out of my snow filled yard with his 4x4!! And Robbin for getting the paint on and done so quick!! Epic win in the ice, no need for dollies, we wer just pushing the car where we wanted, slid like a hover craft! In the booth, final bit of scotching, degreasing and masking Robbin has quite a few Porchers at his place!! 5 inside and 4 outside! Then some paint and a bake! Demasked and back at mine So now i can finaly start bolting on the pile of bits iv got sitting here!! Full steam ahead!!
  22. Its only going to have the inside and engine bay done tomorow, in white. The tital of the thread might give you an idea to what the out side will be like
