  1. Basically tapping on the forums knowledge here.

Does anybody know of a good reliable tuning garage that could do servicing on my Zed?

I do have a Nissan Garage in my town (Glyn Hopkins Nissan), but since I have never had a Nissan before, I won't know how good or bad they are at servicing.

Would even accept the Essex Area (makes sense since I live in Suffolk)

    Help please.

  2.

Nice looking pc, built something similar myself. The only thing is you could be getting a lot more out of your Q6600 if its watercooled than 3.00GHZ you should easily get 3.6GHZ. I am running a rig at the moment and i am achieving 3.00ghz on air with a Q6600 ;)

Yeah, I know I can get more out of it, but for my day to day use, 3.00Ghz is plenty enough tbh.

The main reason behind building it was basically, "I haven't built a watercooled PC yet, let's give it a go"

The only thing that wasn't done by myself is the sidepanel, had to send that away to have lasercut.

  3. But this looks so much cooler (last PC I built myself)

Intel Q6600 overclocked to 3.0Ghz (watercooled)

2x GeForce 8800GTS 512MB (newer G92 GPU, in SLi, both watercooled)

Motherboard is a EVGA 780i (Northbridge, Southbridge and MOSFETs are watercooled)

  4. I still cannot believe there is a tyre that sounds like "Cum Hoe", lol

Nankangs are made in china too, and you don't really see many mainland chinese driving around in performance cars.

For a cheap runaround Nankangs are ok, because they are very very hardwearing, seem to last forever.

Definately agree with most, especially the comment about the tyres being the only thing between your car and the road, so you better get some good rubber.

  5. Tbh, if Apple have got anything right, then it's their marketing.

Think about it. For Example the AirBook then it came out, wafer thin...fit's in an envelope, and stuff.

All great technological feats I admit, but instantly stumped if I walk up to an owner and ask him to play a DVD or something disc related, because for that to happen you have to buy an add-on USB optical drive, making you look less suave and sleek at Starbucks, rofl.

  6. Happy 04 owner here, was still confused over that whole malarkey until I read this post.

I'm sure it's on purpose that the rates are confusing, that way people that are gonna get shafted don't know what hit them until it's too late.

(Remembers the episode of Top Gear when they told people on the street how much thier tax was gonna be)

  7. i looks like the same connector i had for a cig lighter style vibrator :S ( for my ex ), dunno if someone would go to the effort of wireing it behind dash tho ..

Now think about that for a sec.....think about the vibrator in that location in the car (near tax disc) and then think of the position of the female trying to use it......it looks kinda funny in my head (but interesting nonetheless, lol)

  8. Whatever you guys do, DO NOT even think about buying the gunmetal UK model GT Pack on a '05 plate with 59k miles from Nissan dealership in Worthing / Bogor Regis.

I've been there and test drove it and it was horrible.

The shift from 3rd to 4th gear is strange, when you shift and go out of 3rd into neutral position, it ok, but once from neutral to 4th, the gearlever goes ever so slightly to the left (which I do not perceive as normal, it should be a straight down motion)

Furthermore, the interior is very very poor.

    - There is a divet in the doorcard on the passenger side the sizt of a thumbnail

    - top of gear lever ally is worn down severly

    - driver side door handle has got scratches all over it

    - the ally bit on steering wheel have dents in it (looks like someone with a ring on decided to tap the ally whilst in traffic jam)

    - in the boot, the plastic cover under the rear strutbrace is all scratched to hell

    - open the driverside door, and you will notice that where the sill body work joins with the main body, there is a gap larger than normal.

They wanted £11K for it and didn't want to drop the price even after I mentioned all the faults with it.

The final straw was when the sales manager said:

"Well, you wouldn't travel 140 miles if you weren't seriously interested in the car and not buy it, right?"

My replywas "Well, it seems to look that way, thank you for the coffee, have a happy new year and we'll be on our way. Bye"

  9. Thanks for the very warm welcome everybody.

If I find out that that hand on my arse was male, then there will be trouble, rofl.

So today is the big day, my mate gonna come pick me up in his 350Z and we are gonna go on a 130-ish mile trip to pick her up.

I hope we don't go all nuts on the way back and use up too much fuel.

It's cold outside and I expect icy patches on the road, so no room for silly chav like driving.

Will post pics once I have her home safe and lighting conditions allow.

  10. Hello and welcome, :teeth:

Like the name are you in the forces?

Good choice of car mate, what model/colour?

Nah, not in the forces, it's a name I got from online games, and it's stuck on me since and I use it in most forums I frequent.

My brother on the other hand is with the RAF Regiment and is going out to Helmand this year, hope he stays out of view of Taliban snipers.
