Then he returns a minute later and simply unlocks the car

Gets in and is joined by an accomplss

    .....and they're off!

Happened in Tooting Broadway in South London

  2. My brother's Kia Sportage was just stolen today.
Parked on the road outside his terraced  house.
His CCTV showed they did it in 4 min total despite his keys ALWAYS being in a Faraday box.
They took a photo of his car reg
Went on a laptop in their car
2 min later used their keyless device, got in the Kia and drove away 😱.
We reckon they've breached Kia database for keyless entry Kia Sportage models😬

  3. If you didn't know which switch it was , it's the all black one above.

When you insert it, you twist to lock it into position.

You can choose how far you insert it before twisting and locking.

If the warning lights come on after swapping it may be that you inserted it to deep, meaning when you dab the brakes the switch hasn't been triggered this confusing the ECU.

In this case reposition it so the brake lights only just switch off once seated.

Then you know as soon as you just touch the brake pedal the switch will activate.

  4. Tarmacsportz will definitely look after you well.

Glad the zed is on the mend.

I literally just fitted a new brake light switch to mine a few months back.

It was a LUCAS part and has been perfect so far.

I always keep a spare as they seem to go after a couple years.

My last one was actually an OEM Nissan one but that too only lasted a couple years.

No idea why they failed, bit it's a cheap 5 min fix for about a tenner so it's all good.

  5. You're only about an hour's drive from the Notcutts Garden Centre in Shirley.

Our pre meet location for this Saturday.

Meet up for a pre meet, then a 30 min blast down to our Autumn Zed breakfast meet that @davey_83 has booked for us.

    A pre meet.

A convoy blast to the venue.

    A good breakfast.

    An after breakfast chinwag

20 down as going so far.

    What's not to like.

  6. When you next see a "free" battery check offer at Halfords, drive your car there.

Switch their bogus battery back in.

Call them out to check it.

"Sir....... your battery is dead.....we can sell you a new one"

Whip out your receipt and ask for your FREE replacement

  7. Can't help with any discount codes, but once you've got a price, you may be surprised that your local independent tyre fitter may be able to match or beat it.

My local guys matched Blackcircles and MyTyres on supplying MPS4s and included fitting.

  8. Welcome to the OC

The Zed definitely has that special "something".

Alot of modern offerings are sleeker and faster but the Zed still brings admiring glances and nods of acknowledgement.

........and those curvaceous arches ALWAYS make me look back at herB)

If I had to describe a Zed to someone who's never seen one before, I'd say she's like Salma Hayek,

Not the slimmest or most svelte.

But for years unanimously appreciated for a dependable performance with killer voluptuous hips:teeth::lol:
