  1. cheers for the reply what do you mean by: modify the Bose tapedeck to an AUX input? Can you buy something that will plug in or....... well I don't know what to ask really. Not to up on non-standard kit in Cars apart from upgrading speakers (but not in the ZED!!) cheers Rick
  2. Cheers for the replies everyone Neverheard of this Dension unit?....... do you have it linked inot your standard BOSE Unit? Any site links or fitting instructions available? thanks Larsdowg
  3. I wouldnt say that at all, it just varies the grip levels, i.e if you get a nice sticky tyre in the rear and a less grippy in the front it might feel a bit weird to drive but unless you are pushing it around a track i doubt you would ever notice!!! ive been running Eagle F1's on the back and 452 up front for about 14000 miles now with no issues what so ever. Yeah I kinda agree, I did run different tyres on a Scooby which was AWD this was when I bought it though (same mix BS and EF1's), soon changed to Eagle F1's all round and the difference was amazing but with rear wheel or front wheel drive from my experience and what I have read on different forums it doesnt make much difference......... Suppose it would if you had Michelins on the front and Hancook £30 budgets on the back
  4. cheers for your comments guys Can a moderator please supply me with the 5% discount code Also got this model on blackcircle Falken Ziex ZE-912 which one should I be buying? Falken Ziex ZE-912 or Falken FK-452 only a few quid in it so........ thanks again all Larsdowg

  6. Hi everyone, 04 plate 350Z-GT I am sure someone knows the answer to this, I am looking at getting an Ipod of Iphone and wonder if this can be connected somehow to the standard ZED BOSE Headunit. I am not bothered with fancy displays on head units just wonder if they can interact? Is there a simple AUX cable I can connect from the back of the head unit as I havent had it wout of the dashboard yet therefore don't know what the back connectors are like for MP3 player connections. Also does anyone presently use an Iphone through the bluetooth phone kit in the car? Does it work ok? Cheers everyone appreciate your comments and help on this one, Larsdowg
  7. Hi everyone, just looking on blackcircle and can see I can get Falken FK-452 for £127.05 plus the 350Zforum discount from the discounts section for a 245/45/18........... Are these good tyres? as don't know much about Falkens never driven on them??? Looks like its time for some new rear rubber, just gone through the original Bridgestone RE040 245/45/18's Anyone know where I can get some decently priced new rubber and if anyone has other tyres they can recommend? I know the new RE050 Bridgestones are out but had some places suggest AVON's, Toyo Proxy T1/R1's, Vredestein Ultrac, and Michelins price at £300 each for rears!!! OW! Anyone help me out or point me onto another forum link where tyres may have been discssed, handling and prices.....? Cheers Everyone...........
  12. Was this you? 54 Plate Azure Blue Sat 14th Feb Kelham 4pm ish over took a little Toyota Avensis (which wasn't hard ) to come up behind me and flash his lights as I was going down Kelham Road, nice to see another ZED!!........ think it then turned off to South Muskham way? I was in an Bronze/Orange/Ginger ZED
  13. Curiosity killed the cat, but in this case it might break ya nose and give you a face full of white powder....... and not the good type
  14. I have one on my 350Z in bronze which matches the car looks really good, but the signal reception I get is crap and I don't think it was that cheap either! Fitted by the chap who owned it before me........ might have to whip it off sometime and have a look but picks up major stations really well ie Radio 1, etc
  15. Thanks everyone for your help, I ended up fitting the cover this weekend top instructions...... can't help thinking that it was designed by someone on a Nissan YTS programme or a day release from a BTEC at the local Japanese college Anyway all sorted now and I can actually put stuff into my boot without it hitting me in the back of the head cheers everyone
  16. Think you're in trouble, you don't have the actual tonneau cover on that list Seriously though, full parts list includes: Tonneau cover *1 Mounting bracket LO10248 *2 Mounting bracket LO10249 *2 Spacer 6-10 *2 Rawlnut M4 *2 Cross recessed screw M4x25 *2 Washer M5 *2 Cross recessed screw M6x16 *2 Washer M6 *2 Turning Knob *4 Nut M6 *4 Adhesive rubber *1 and, of course, the elusive installation manual As you can guess I have the instuctions as well, if 3FIDDYZ can't find his ha ha I'm glad you have all that from instructions and not from memory If you get a chance to send them over that would be brilliant and greatly appreciated One of the fixing Bolts has a warped head, from when it was made I have replaced the pair with very similar nuts but not the original type would anyone know where I could source these? It will probably work with the ones I have sourced but the heads are a little flatter and slightly wider.... don't know until see instructions if this will cause an issue. thank again everyone
  17. That would be spot on thanks so I can see what I am doing....... Bit like Ikea flat pack stereo cabinet and them find your missing 1 screw
  18. WOW fast reply cheers much appreciated.... got any pics so I put the correct backets in the right place/right way round with the correct fittings? I seem to have 4 big plastic fittings, 4 little plugs, 4 washers, 2 screws, 2 large brackets, 2 small brackets and a bit of foam with double sided tape?? but no washing up bottle, sticky back plastic or glitter?
  19. Hi all, can anyone help me I have looked on the forum but can seem to find anything? Does anyone have intructions on how to fit the Genuine 350Z Tonneau cover, I have bought one 2nd hand and have no idea how to fit it......... Seems to have a lot of brakets and screws in a little bag......... I'm sure its simple when you know how and I could fit it guessing but would like to fit it with some good instructions. Anyone got any please? Cheers
  20. ha ha too bloody right........ its still not grown on me!! oh and nice desktop too! anyone change the top bit for a nice 350Z logo?
  21. how much did you pay for your 04? Ended up paying £12,500 after some haggling down a bit
  22. I would always buy private overdealer anyday! Got mine VIN checked and also good once over (used to be mechanic and bought cars from Auction so know what to look for) but if unsure AA check or RAC check can be done for peice of mind and you will get maybe some bargaining power with the seller re brake pads etc...... I got a 2004 GT with 12,000 miles £4000 cheaper than a dealer 2004 GT with 40,00 miles on the clock. Now obviously there is warranty but you can even buy this now...... so I just weight up risks and bonus vs other outgoing costs and make a decision, but always end up buying private or even auction. I bought an FTO selling private years ago at around 7K from http://www.charlesworths.co.uk/ and got it for 4K with 3 day money back gaurantee..... now that might not seem long to check it over, but the cost saving was nearly 1/2...... Lots of Auctions now pushing through 350Z's as went to a few myself but then found a good one private, Hope this helps Larsdowg
  23. http://www.nectar.com/rewards/rewardSub ... 000214#tsr not read them all yet but, 2 women for 16,700 points seems reasonable! I wonder is you get them for more than 12 minutes Leroy? http://www.nectar.com/rewards/generalSe ... ROM0007937 Looks pretty good as well................ must check my points total
  24. That sounds like damn good value! My old dear got me a track experience on her Tesco club card points. Was meant to be about £350 for ~5 laps in a Cayman, Aston V8 Vantage and Forumlar Renault at Thruxton. Was a brill day and well worth it as it only cost my old dear about £80 in vouchers (£1 in vouchers is worth £4 on offers) hmmmm good idea............. might have a look at my Nector points, never even thought of that, I have bloody loads of them so fingers crossed I can spend them on something like that. cheers for the brainwave
