how do I check the oil pressure sending unit is working correctly? cheers

Morning guys, Noticed this week that my oil pressure doesn't appear to be getting very high, ranges between 20-50psi on the gauge. This isn't a gauge I look at often but I'm sure it used to be higher, especailly when you boot it and it swings to the right. Didnt know if this is due to the cold weather we are currently getting. Oil change was 10months ago and used the Silkolene that some other guys on here use. Going to check the oil level once it gets light today. Any suggestions welcomed. regards Adam

same thing happened to me at the weekend - but after a few attempts it folded away ok. bring on the warm weather!

Saw this on YouTube If your going to drift your car dont do it on a public road in the middle of the day you prick. I've never seen or heard of anyone in a 350Z driving like a dick - thats part of the appeal of getting one rather than an M3 or Scooby. Its people like this that f**k it up for everyone else. Doesn't help that the guy filming thought 'diz waz some sick @*!# ...innit man' Rant over now. Adam

I'm not sure if its the fact that the jets are mounted on the wipers but mine remained frozen for my 55mile commute to work this morning - which resulted in me being able to see not a lot out of the windscreen during my commute on the motorway. Anyone else get this???

I must say that parked next to the MX5's the 350Z looks huge, they must have felt like I do in the gym showers when the Jamiacan guy gets in.

it took me 3 weeks to decided to go for the dark coloured wheels over getting them re-furbed to normal, but it does suit the black paint ...and looks great against the gold Brembo's. Plus with driving 40miles on the motorway everyday I dont have to worry as much about brake dust marks!

was parked next to the MX5's as no other 350Z's where there, had the Skyline Owners club next to the MX5's.

A few old Ferraris, lots of old TVR's, couple of Lancia's, few old mini's, loads of other stuff. Best cars where a brand new 599 GTB and a genuine Shelby Mustang GT500 (the Gone in 60 Seconds car).

some **** stole 2 of mine last month in Leeds city centre! again nice chrome ones I got with the wheels. Ordered some more of ebay but its the principal more than anything - like the guy said, in 10 years time its going to be carnage!!

I was looking at trackers the other day and Tracker do a GPS unit that gives you a live location (well 10min delay) to your laptop or internet enabled phone. So gives you time to unlock your gun safe and pick up a box of 12 gauge shells and then go retrieve your Zed. I think it was about £450 fitted then £130 a year, I'd pay that just for the chance to find the guys and f**k them up far worse than the police would ever do.

UPDATE: It turns out that the Police stole my car! Some pikey put a brick through the window but got disturbed by a passer by who alerted the police. Police came and towed the car away so it couldnt get robbed again. Why when i called to report it stolen 4 hours later it didnt flag that it was sitting in am impound yard 1 mile away I have no idea. muppetts!! They could have left a note on the wall oppoiste or even on the road where my car was rather than thinking that it was burnt out somewhere. So now I have to pay £150 to get it released to me - the motorist is the victim again!! Fair play that they thought of removing it so it didnt get stolen - but why it takes 18hours to contact me is unreal. surely they must have being expecting me to call and report it stolen!!

House key was on there :-( Had the locks changed 30mins ago. Girlfriends car was/is a Punto 1.2 Sporting. Its annoying as had just bought a roof rike and Thule bike rack for it. Also had the key to my gates on there so had to get that changed too! There is a moral to this story ....dont leave your car keys in your girlfriends car!!!

someone stole my girlfriends car today from Kirkstall Road in Leeds, but it had my car keys in it (dont ask I know they shouldnt have being there). anyway I am thinking worse case scenerio and they are contacting the DVLA and getting my address to come collect the Zed. How do I get the locks changed on the Zed??? Is it all electronic or do I need the barrells doing??? I cant go through my car insurance as they'll rape me on the excess. Really f**ked off, but not as much as my girlfriend will be when she finds out i borrowed the car!! cheers Adam

I've hit 135mph... but that was with the roof down and a passenger To be fair i'd have thought it would hit 160, you see shitter cars than ours on Top Gear with supposedly factory 155 limits and they sail past it on the runway. Adam

tried refitting my bose and that works fine - so I am assuming that the headunit is foooked. Looks like I'll be calling Kenwood on Monday morning and getting them to pick it up!!
