  1. More than me then, I only have 190 miles to go without gathering dirt
  2. Clutch release bearing makes noise when you're not touching the pedal, I had an old XR3i that did it many moons ago, and when I 1st heard the Z doing it I was worried, until I realised that they nearly all do it! Don't think you need to worry bud
  3. I just covered mine in Megs last touch this evening, bought it up as good as when I cleaned it at the weekend, highly impressed Couple of coats of wax on the Sat, and bringing some last touch and an MF with me on Sun just-in-case
  4. You can make your payment to the finance company so that you know its been done Yeah, that way there's no having to worry - nice plan! That would enable me to sleep better at night if I was considering this car
  5. Myself and AdrianK'll be coming past Keele on the way from Newbury, if we make it that far before 8:15 we may as well follow you up from there
  6. Car looks clean, I don't understand why it doesn't have RAYS as it looks like it has everything else - I don't know enough about what options are available. It is also, as you say, CHEAP! I just paid £14K for one with 20K less miles, and I couldn't find an 04 with <40K for less than 13K when I was looking.. Did you get a look at the history? If it stopped there I would be v. interested, but the fact that its got finance on it still would worry the sh!t out of me! What guarantee do you have that the seller would clear it? He may well be intending to get a nice 10K lump sum, which on this age of car is likely to be the rough amount oustanding if hes the 3rd owner... If they don't clear the finance, and then default - and he hasn't paid more than a half, the finance company can come and reposses and leave you with no car and minus 9.5K... If it were me I would want to see the agreements, and get written conf. from the finance co of the settlement figure, then sit there and watch them physically pay it off - even then its still a bit dodge.. Sorry to be all doom and gloom, that just my opinion, good luck with whatever you decide
  7. Might take some doing then... If its too much hassle I'll just layer the Nattys for the weekend.. Nice username by the way, swap the second C for a K in ClarCE and what do you get...
  8. Cheers everyone.....good to be a 350Z owner where you from IAN? I was born in Bridgend.... you down near there?? just moved down from Leeds to East Mids area Welcome, Nice photo - just about perfect, fields a drag strip and a Z
  9. Definitely worth it, and I only have the crappy karcher one which is nowhere near as good as some of the others mentioned..
  10. Yes, I appear to have become obsessed with it! I attempted to get more involved with my old Vectra, but hated looking at so much I never bothered.. Now its a completely different story I'm making up for all that lost time
  11. Right, ordered the above - the plan is to survive the 190 mile drive on Sunday from my house to the Wales meet, so that when I arrive I can give it a dose of megs last touch to 'wipe away' all the muck.. On Sat I'll do the following: Paint Ultimate Snow Foam Megs Paint Cleaner (Step 1) Megs Show Car Glaze Nattys Paste Wax Blue OR Dodo Jucie Purple Haze OR both?! Collinite 915 to finish Wheels Autoglymn Wash Autoglymn Sealant Wax Autoglymn Instant Tyre Dressing Poor Boys Wheel Sealant So thats the plan, what I wanted to know was if anyone has any ideas on the combination of waxes I'm going to hit it with - I'm hoping that the Collinite will be nice and hard.. Any tips or suggestions appreciated, I'm down to my last application on the Dodo Juice, but seeing as I want to try everything to get the best combo I opted for the Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax and Collinite this month.. Cheers, Chris
  12. Speaking of snapping, I snapped one of the torx bits from this very same set un-doing some head bolts on a sierra 2.0 block I rebuilt a couple of years back... Took some arguing, but they did replace eventually with a bigger drive part that they normally sell seperately - also, paid a lot less than £99 for mine as I had a halfrauds trade card (which has now been stolen by a not so good friend )
  13. Nice mate, looks in really good condition I'm still trying to work out my route to Wales.. Basically if I come via Newbury its an extra 25 miles for me which makes my total 195 there instead of 170, not much in it tbh so could possibly meet you at Granada services at some horrific time of the morning..
  14. How is Catford these days? I used to live on Slaithwaite road in Lewisham, which I think was off Morley road.. first left after KFC
  15. That sounds like a nice combo, any experience of hard dodo juice over the soft stuff? I was considering trying that next...
  16. Looking good, as mine should have done Did you have to remove any covers, i.e. the one to the right of the backbox or the cover around the diff? Also, did you need to bend any of the mounts?
  17. Stay overnight at Chester so you can give the car a clean just before the run as it will be bugged up and the wheels covered in brake dust, or worse if its rained on the journey up and you will feel so frustrated after your work cleaning work back home I can recommend an excellent B&B just south of Chester with facilites to wash the car and there is a great bistro just down the road from it - well worth it - pm me if interested . Or meet up with many of the others around Hoole Road but be careful with that I would love to, but unfortunately I can only get a pass for the one day - and that was hard enough "You're doing WHAT?!....blah blah blah...." I'm sure you get the idea We all have 2 seats bud, Liz loves the Wales meet now Yeah, I know... to be honest she's just got no interest in it, cars a car to her and all that. Perhaps when I come home with some great tales to tell she'll come along next time, in the mean time my housemate James will be fulfilling the 350Z meet duties only

  19. Applying by hand was an experience for me, could only get it off with fairy liquid, but well worth it, even if all the neighbours and your other half think you're slightly insane
  20. Welcome, no thats the natural response - at least I am still having those experiences 3 weeks later, especially after a damn good polish and wax Look forward to your pics..
  21. Looking forward to the pics, seeing as this whole detailing bugs just hit me I'll be trying a range of waxes over the coming months as I run out and re-order to see which one is the best.. I imagine you get to a point tho when the differences are all a bit blurry and actually it just looks the same no matter what - heres to hoping otherwise
  22. Just ordered up some microfibres and 4 litres of quick detailer + pot and sprayer ready for the photoshoot section of the trip Really looking forward to it now, although the 6am start from Swindons going to be a bit killer
