Based in Bristol Adam when you say with a solid tune do you mean a re-map on the ecu(piggy back) or can you play around with the timing a little etc fropm standard!? 20-30whp is a pretty good gain so i would consider doing a few mods for that sort of gain! Getting a bit older now so not really after stoopid loud exhaust i really wouldnt want to go much louder than the standard system is! perhaps i will just try & spacer & see what goes form there! & just start hiding £££ from the mrs til i got enough for FI!

Hi all, Never tuned a NA car! always had turbo'd cars! Dont want to go crazy as Ive waisted far too much on cars in my life as it is! lol So just looking @ bolt on items! If i was to fit a inducton kit(cold air fed) & a zorst(possibly de-cat) would i need a ECU upgrade of some form!? if so what 1s are about!? or can the standard ECU be tinkered with!? what sort of power gains should i expect from these mods!? Would i benifit from a oil breather/catch tank!? or is the standard setup sufficent!? Going to get a gorunding kit just in case it does help a little! are there any other mods avaliable!?

also what is the differnce in the services seen people talkin about P1, P2, P3!? it has had a service every 10k(ish) so the next time i will need to servce it will be 40k so what service will that require!?

That might depend on how long he plans to keep his Z though, perhaps. who can predict the future, something may come round the corner and force him to sell it. It will be very hard to shift with a DIY service history, until the Z gets very cheap and even then who's gonna take a gamble with something that could be very expensive to repair I make sure she takes the pill every night lol! I do intend on keeping it for a while! (fingers crossed) so thats y i am thinkin of getting it done by Nissan! its just a right tw@ having to pay all that £££ for something i can do myself!

How many of you self service your cars!? I have always done it myself on previos cars but never had a car this new before! its just had its 30k service before i boguht it so got a while yet! My mrs works for Toyota & is on @ me to keep up the service history! How much roughly do Nissan charge for servicing?

I have no idea if its a standard ariel or not! it is short! any 1 got any lenghts of the standard & the stubby!? mate gave me an in-line amplifier for it so was gunna fit that as well!

Probably shouldnt of bought a 3.5lt V6 if you wanted economy! lol I'd imagine the factory had it setup for best economy @ the power level it is! so i would say you would loose power if you could map it for better effiency which is kind of the opposite to what should happen when you get a car mapped!
