  1. MATE, I took the picture and put it up back in January after dcash's post and the for sale thread hasn't been deleted yet! If it had been deleted I would have taken another picture with my name on a card. I was bumping the thread as I found them in my garage and want them gone. Which has worked well as they are now SOLD Thanks for your help!!
  2. Price reduced to £45 delivered any takers?
  3. Hi I have sold my 350Z but I have a spare set of tyres sat in the garage that I was going to use as a set of track day tyres or road tyres depending on which needed replacing first. The tyres are Bridgestone RE050A 2 x 225/45R18 & 2 x 245/45R18. These are not to be confused with the rubbish RE040's that were fitted as standard to the majority of 350Z's from the factory. I had a set of the RE050A's on my car and I found them to be a very very good quality tyre (far far better than the RE040s I replaced) As i'm sure you are aware the Bridgestone RE050A are fitted to Ferarri's, AMG Mercedes, Porsches' and other high performance vehicles, so they are a top quality tyre. All the tyres have at least 7mm of tread remaining (new tyres have 8mm of tread), no puncture repairs and are all structually sound. The tread looks a little scuffed on all 4, but this will smooth out after the first few miles on the car. Brand new you would be looking at £140 each for the fronts and £150 for the rears. I am offering these at £70 each and would be willing to sell the fronts as a pair and the rear as a pair. Grab yourself a bargain set of tyres for the road or track. Any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking Tom **Pictures to follow shortly**
  4. Hi all, I've got a set of HEL braided brake lines for sale that I never got around to fitting to my 350Z and unfortunately I have now sold the car. These are brand new, unopened, originally bought from CS. Grab yourself a bargain as i'm only looking for £58 delivered. Kings
  5. Sorry to jump in on this one, I've got a set of standard 18" wheels for sale, very good condition, the front tyres are as new with about 8mm. but the rears are down to the wear bars. If you are interested let me know and i'll send some pictures to you. I would be looking for around £200 figure.
  6. If anybody can let me know how to show the pictures in this post, not just the links, I would me most grateful Cheers
  7. MORE PICTURES ADDED I am unfortunately putting my 350Z up for sale, due to the need of a more spacious car. I have owned the car for about 18 months and if I could afford to keep the 350Z as a second car I definately would. Modifications I've done EBC turbo groove discs all round with Ferodo DS2500 pads, fitted about 4000 miles ago. Motordyne Plenum spacer Powertec stainless steel induction kit with polished pipe Stubby aerial. Original BOSE stereo available if required along with the original air box I will be very sad to see the car go. £11800 ono Any questions welcome Kings

    Tyres

You got them on now? Ooh, we need to meet up so I can feel what they're like, might well be replacing the PS2s on mine next time round if they're any good I'd be interested to know what you think on the Vredesteins, they do get very good reviews in tyre tests and online reviews but most are fitted to front wheel drive so the way the tyre performs could be quite different to a RWD car. Has anybody tracked a set of Ultrac Ssantas, what are they like on the limit?

    Tyres

Unfortunately they don't make those in the correct sizes for the rear, as I was looking for a set at the weekend. They make them in the rear for standard wheels 245/45Y18 but not the front. This seems to be the case with most top line tyres (Mich & Conti excluded) Pirelli make the P Zero in the rear fitment (absolutely fantastic tyre), but not the front, they only make the P Zero Rosso (don't like). It's the same when you fit 19"s ( 245/35/19 275/35/19 ). IMO Nissan should have put 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 on as standard, as there is a much wider range of tyres available matching front and rear. I want to try fitting these sizes but on the other hand I don't want to try as it might upset the stability control (being as sensitve as it is) as the rolling radius would be too far adrift and I think the wheels will look lost in the arches wihout the car being lowered. If anyone has experience of running these sizes I would be interested to know if its affected anything and how it looks. (im sure i've read somewhere someone has fitteed these sizes, but I could be imagining it!!)

As much as a fan I am of Goodyear F1's, I would not put GSD3's on, I would go for the Assimetric pattern. Of recent times Goodyear have moved manufacture of the remaining GSD3 sizes they still produce to China and my personal experience is they are not as good as they used to be when they were made in Germany. Problems I've experienced are tyres going out of shape, irregular wear, grip level far reduced than previous set (which was made in Germany). This experience was a year or so ago, so production might be better now.

    what a result!

Cheers mate, I didn't think they made the P Zero in those sizes, but I could be wrong, they make P Zero Assimetrico in rear fitment. How much are you paying for a set of Falkens in that size?
  15. Kings

    what a result!

Out of interest what size are you running on 17" rims?
  16. Kings

    what a result!

"I have Pzero's on all corners" I assume you are running P Zero Rossos on each corner as opposed to the newer P Zero? or have you got non standard wheels? How do you find the Rossos? I've got them on the front of mine and I don't rate them very highly, not a patch on the B/S RE050A (not to be confused with the crappy RE040!) car wants to push the nose wide on the limit earlier than the RE050A's and they don't offer as much feel. I've got the P Zero on the rear and they are a stunning tyre, excellent grip, fairly quiet, predictable on the limit. The only downside is they wear pretty quickly.
  17. Around £10-£10+vat seems the norm, but it does seem like this price is on the up as more people are buying tyres cheap off the internet and need them fitted, so tyre dealers aren't making the money on the tyres themselves so have got to make it on the fitting.

    Tyre Help

Falken 912's are an asymmetric tread pattern, so having the rears asymmetric and the fronts directional is not ideal but it is the right way round to do it if you have to. Pirelli fit tyres this way OE to quite a few high performance cars (P Zero system) I would steer clear of Maxxis, they're made by Cheng Shin a Chinese budget tyre manufacturer. I take it you are on 18" wheels and need 245/45W18? If so I have tried to get hold of the 452's for you, but the main importer into the UK hasn't got any and it looks like they are about 6 weeks away. I hope this helps Kings
  19. I'd be up for one of these if there is any more about, i've made a temporary one up out of some old induction kit piping i had lying around, but it looks pretty rubbish!

    accellera

Generally its down to how they perform in wet conditions, braking especailly. There was a test done earlier in the year where Continentals were put up against 5 different budgets tyres, one fact that stood out to me "The Linglong equipped VW Golf Autocar used for its tests was still doing 27.8mph at the point where it had stopped on the Continentals" You would find they would wear out quicker but not offer good levels of dry weather grip. As an example I've had 2 x Pirelli P Zeros on the rear of mine, the level of grip is great, but the payoff is they wore out in 6k miles!! No matter how carefully you drive, you cannot plan for the unexpected, you could be driving well within your limits & the cars limits, someone pulls out infront of you, i'd rather be stopped than doing almost 30mph! At the end of the day it's a personal choice, I would never skimp on the 4 tiny footprints of rubber that keep you on the road.

Accellera are an out and out budget tyre, I would avoid on the Z!!
