I know Bennet, i was in the middle of giving the car a thorough clean. The cars parked up at the back of my girlfriends and the ground is a bit messy. I left the mats til' last, damn i knew i'd get slated for that
Very nice Ian, well impressed. You know what i'm going to ask you next ..........................................
Whats the procedure for removing the steering wheel
You've already got high quality speakers, so buy a really good 5 channel amp (second hand if you have to) and see how it goes. You have the option to turn the rear speakers off so you can hear the difference
If you're using a DVD player to watch films etc, then the rears are important for the surround sound. I have an Alpine 5.1 digital surround sound amp which powers the 4 speakers and a center channel speaker and a dedicated amp for the sub. Ok, its not installed yet but i did have it in my Civic type R and wow it sounded awesome. If you are just using the head unit for music then the rears aint important as long as you have the sound stage set up well in the front.
You are quite correct. Top quality amps such as the ones from Genesis have a low power output but give really clean and powerful signals to the speakers.
Any crash damaged Zed will probably be minus the barcodes. Its an easy check on the front of the car to see if anythings been done to it. The 2 wings and front bumper should have them on. I had one missing on my old Zed and found out that it had a new wing at some time. Not too sure about whether Imports have them as the one i viewed the other day didn't have any at all.
Try some megs scratch X, rub it in lightly at first and buff it up, see if its made any improvement, and if it has then gradually increase pressure checking all the time, until its done the job.
