Can you try the announcements section. It appears that mine also has the "custom" button highlighted on some sections. When I edit the forum setup, and save again without making any changes, it then reverts to the default order that I have set in the software of "recently updated".

Can you see what is highlighted if you go to the Announcements section. I shall apply what Im doing to the offtopic section, but am slowly doing the same to all forums. Only just over a hundred to go...

The custom header is highlighted for some reason, but the default sort is by last posted order. At least thats what its set to in the software. There is nowhere as far as I know to set your default sort order. Try setting your custom sort order to show them in last updated order and see if it remembers.

You arent mistaking the "started by" date and time under the thread title for the last updated time are you? Latest post time and member is over on the right. They should by default be in last updated order.

We have to be concious of server resources. Chat systems take up a lot more cpu time than you would think. Solutions like Shoutbox are hosted locally, while ip.chat uses remote resources. The annual cost of upgrading to the 20 user version of chat that uses remote resources would be far cheaper than upgrading the server to cope with a 20 user chat system locally.

Peanuts in the grand scheme of things. More concerned with server load at the moment while we get things sorted. As soon as most of the major problems are corrected, we shall upgrade the chat room if the demand is still there

any further thoughts on this mods?

It can be upgraded to 20, at a cost to the club, however we ar going to leave it at 5 for the time being while we are still fixing other issues which require us to recache various items and load the server more than normal. Once we are happy we have most of the glitches ironed out we can look at upgrading things like the chat capacity

Old link should now be gone - when searching for the forum it should bring up the Large Z icon only now.

I shall have a look to see if this is something we can set on a group or individual basis.

I believe traders and REO's should have larger quotas for various items, and the ability to pm more than 6 people, as they will of course be arranging meets etc. We are going to look at the REO's calendar permissions too, as adding events etc would be useful for them.

Unfortunately this software has an awful lot more configuration options out of the box than the old one, so weve set a basic set across everyone for now, and are tweaking things as we go to ensure the relevant groups get the relevant permissions. There are also some features that would be nice to have back, like being able to send messages and the onus be on the recipient to clear room, and be able to see if a message has been read etc.

Currently working on the tapatalk issue, but we can add these above to the list.

Can you try unfollowing one of those two, and then try following the build thread. Trying to establish if the issue lies with the thread, the user, or the number of followed threads a user already has. etc.

Shouldnt really be an issue with the images. Slightly strange that it happens on just that thread for just you. Are you able to follow any other threads that you started? Im wondering if its a general glitch with being able to follow your own threads.

Yep - aware of the issues with the pm system and are looking to see if there is the ability to make it perform a little like the old system. Going forwad however, at least all messages should be in conversations, rather than all separate.

All the posts from the old forum should have come across to this new one, with a few exceptions. So the build thread will still be there somewhere.

However, any links used to access the topics on the old forum will no longer work on this forum unfortunately. The URLS are significantly different unfortunately. We are looking at a possible solution, but if you search for your thread, you shoudl be able to find its new link. Your post count from the old forum and this one match, so it should be here somewhere.

Its actually more likely the opposite. Too little money when the financial crisis hit and they dost like the idea of debtors prison in Saudi.

It should now be set at 30.

There may be slight slow downs at 3-5am ish as there are a few auto processes run around those hours.

I heard about this on the radio a few days ago, though they believed there were around 17 Griffon engined Spitfires, not the figure of 60, but still, if they make it back and can be flown, that would be brilliant.

It does, but there are settings to disable them in avatars..

When you click to view new content, it shows you new content from the area of the site you are in. i.e. if you are viewing a profile, when you click view new content it shows you new members, if you are in the gallery when you click it, you get shown new gallery content.

Switch to the Ultra Yellow theme, and see if the view new content works as you would like using that theme - there are a couple of tweaks Ive made to that theme for testing purposes, one of which is always to direct you to the new content of the forums, regardless of the area of the site you are in when you click it.

Try that theme and let me know if the results are better - I can then roll the change out to all other themes.

The space under the signature is actually taken up by the report/edit/quote buttons over on the right unfortunately. May be able to move them around, but will have to wait while other issues are tweaked first
