Rook Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Evening all. Someone at an indie service centre I won't name told me my Z probably needs new spark plugs if it hasn't had already. It's an 07 DE with 92k on the clock. Do they need new plugs as a matter of course? I haven't pulled one out yet, but my service history doesn't include a receipt for them, I assume they've not been done - should I just do it anyway? What, if any, plugs do people use? Any benefit to HKS/Denso etc? Thanks all. Quote
SHEZZA Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) If you have no record of them being changed id get them done. As should be done every 5 years or 54k. I did mine my self last year and used the OEM spec NGK Platinum in my DE. Edited July 3, 2015 by SHEZZA Quote
GMballistic Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 ^^ What SHEZZA said. I wouldn't bother wasting money on over the top spark plugs if it is a DE though, ...a decent brand like NGK will do the job imo. If yours is a DE: http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_169_293_1418&products_id=25418 If it is a 2007 HR though then I believe Denso are the recommended brand by Nissan. coldel Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Do note that you can get copper core plugs for a fraction of the price which perform exactly the same as iridium - iridiums last longer but that's all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Rook Posted July 3, 2015 Author Posted July 3, 2015 Thanks, and it's a RevUp. Might as well change them then! NGK it is, they seem pretty reasonably priced. That was easy! Quote
