Jabbah Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 My battery has gone flat and so the central locking won't work, but also when I put the key in the drivers side lock I can't turn it to unlock the door to open the bonnet to charge it. What can I do? Is there a way to pop the bonnet to connect a charger? Quote
Ekona Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 So the lock is stuck? Try some WD40 or PlusGas or whatever you have handy, it's just a little stuck. A stark reminder to us all to operate that lock every now and then! Quote
Jabbah Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 There's definitely a bit of play in it, I've tried squirting some WD40 through whatever orifice I can find so will let that soak in. Feels more like the wrong key, don't think I ever tried it since I had it. Quote
ZMANALEX Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 If push comes to shove, the bonnet release cable is situated at the top and behind the R/H/F arch liner. Giving it a gentle tug with some one pressing on the bonnet nib should release the bonnet to access the battery. Quote
