Best stuff for repairing paintwork after being attacked by seriously caustic guano?

As per the above, had to remove some week old bird doo which has left some pretty seriously scarring on teh paintwork in an obvious place. What the best remedy for correcting this?

 

And yes I will avoid try to park under a bird loo ever again...

Polish. Either by hand if you need a workout or by machine if you're just lazy.

 

You could try a filler glaze which might dull the edges enough to mask some of the damage, but if it's etching it'll need compounding out.
