Hughesie90 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 (edited) Hi guys I haven't often paid attention to the oil pressure but recently on cold starts the needle goes right round too max at 8KKPA it'll bounce between 6-8 anytime I go over 2.5-3k revs until it's warm, once she's been running it goes back to normal! is this normal or should I replace the sensor? Tricky-Ricky Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Its normal fella, cold oil will always make higher pressures. 1 Quote
Ekona Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 If the oil level is fine, and the pressure reads somewhere over 0 on the gauge, then every thing is fine. 2 Quote

mje-87 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Hi Guys, I have a similar problem were the gauge shows 60 psi on ignition before the engine is started and then rises to 120 psi as soon as I start the car. I have given it to a local garage who has replaced the sensor with a working one from a 350z which was being stripped for parts though it still has the same problem. Is there a possibility that it could be an issue with the wiring instead of the sensor?? I have looked on many posts but every time it points to the oil pressure sensor. I find it hard to believe that the replacement sensor decided to break between being removed for the original engine and being fitted in mine. Any ideas would be much appreciated!!
