Trouble with ferodo rear pads

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi has anyone had trouble fitting ferodo rear brake pads using the brembo calipers ?

I had trouble getting the old pads out ( just the rear ones) and found that the new ones were too large to go in. So much so that I shaved a couple of thou off the edges to get them to fit.

And They are now squealing like crazy!

Some times you do have to top and tail pads slightly to get them to fit if the sliders are not in great shape.

The squealing may be down to lack of shims or anti squeal grease.

Did you bed them in ?

I didn't put any anti squeal grease on them tbh, and I haven't followed any bedding in process either, I've always just avoided heavy braking for a few hundred miles to let them bed in.

Shims and grease + bed in and you will be fine.
