350 Z yellow engine warning light

Hi All

 

Does anyone know how to turn the engine warning light off?

 

CEL light I think it is known as.

 

I have a 03 plate 350Z

 

I read the post below:

Not too sure if the engine needs to be running or not but I cant see to get it to work.

 

Any ideas.

Have you checked the fault codes to see what the issue is?

 

The above link is timing critical and you must get it spot on. You will normally do it with the engine off as you need to use the key to start the sequence etc.

Cheers for the quick reply - I cant even get the sequence to work to see what the code is

 

Must be that I am not getting the timings of the sequence correct will try again

You really need to use a stop watch. Its a bit of a PITA.

 

There may be somebody round bout who can help with a reader.

 

Is your car UK or an Import?

my car is a UK - v low mileage one owner (b4 me) and has 28K on the clock fully serviced - so I am surprised the light has come on .

It could be for a variety of things. I'd keep at the pedal dance or change the title of the thread to something that people from your area may pick up on and offer to come round to ur gaff and help out. I'd be driving carefully in the mean time, and avoiding driving if possible. Last thing you want to do is damage it.

Where are you based? Maybe a member close by with a code reader if you can't get the pedal dance to work.

Hi, drop down to us in surrey (junction 6 M25) we can read the ECU and help give you any information to sort the issue causing the CEL.
