route66uk Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Hi All Have had my 350 for nearly 8 years now, the longest I've ever owned a car by a long way.. It's SUCH a good car and there's still nothing wrong with it at 60+k miles. Am considering going to a 370 (even though I read I can't get the same stunning exhaust note as my stock 350!) I can imagine the response I'll get from this question but was considering an auto for a couple of reasons; - I've a classic mustang that has an auto box and love it - you get torque multiplication with an auto box (I LOVE torque) - flappy paddles So, wondered what the thoughts on the Auto were on the 370????? And - do you get engine braking on the auto ( / torque converter lock-up) or, if going around a bend quickly and wanting to keep the back end nicely tucked in, will taking foot off the accelerator give some engine braking to the wheels.
