General question to our forum traders concerning VAT

is it possible to buy without VAT if this item is send to germany???

Unless you and the german are both vat registered and you deliver to the vat registered address - then it can be exempt

I can send to a Vat registered business in the business's name and to the business address - then its exempt.

thanx for your fast response,..............i asked this question because a good friend of me visited me last week,.....he lives in usa and told me he can redemand the german vat for his laptop he bought in germany last week because he exported it to the usa,......so i thought i can do the same if i buy things in uk :wacko:

If you buy it in the UK, then show a VAT receipt when you leave at the airport etc, you can. It's difficult via the internet

If you buy outside the UK, VAT exemption in EU states, I import stuff from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary etc No VAT.

The EU and vat is simple really you cannot be charged further Vat in the UK if you have already paid Vat on the goods in the other European Union country, I.e. you can only pay Vat once.
