mrt Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Advice please. I,m fitting 245/35/19 on 9.5 Js sfront and 275/35/19 on 10.5 J,s this week and plan to lower 17mill front and 14 mill rear . As I have a brand new set of Micheln ssp,s on my standard Rays..... can I run them once the car has been lowered as I would like to swap them over for winter. As always, your advice would be appreciated. Quote
buster Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) cant see why you need to ask....but yes they fit no problem.think about it...the rays are smaller j so no issues. Edited September 15, 2014 by buster Quote
mrt Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Reply to buster.. Yeah but the profile is lower by 10 + 10 top and bottom on my new tyres Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Rog, no issues at all, you can revert back to your RAYS for winter use... Quote
mrt Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Forgot to mention i also fit 30 mill rear and 20 mill front spacers on the standard rays. No doubt without they will work without spacers when lowered but with ? Quote
mrt Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Thanks Mitz As always you,re on the ball immediately. New DMF cured my other problem. Cobra HFC problem returned. Quote
buster Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 without the spacer they will fit no problem at all.if your having the rear arches rolled then cant see a problem there either m8 with the spacers on with the rays. Quote
Bodyboarder81 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 I run tein springs 30mm rear 20mm front spacers and have no issues . Quote
mrt Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 Thanks bodyboarder ,81 That answers my question nicely. Cheers Quote
mrt Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 255 front 275 rear and they fit perfectly...no rubbing and manufacturers optimum fit for the wheels. Rides much much better now. Quote
BulletMagnet Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) The overall rolling radius is not getting altered hugely, hence 45 profile on your 18"s and 35 profile on your 19"s Edited September 22, 2014 by BulletMagnet Quote
mrt Posted September 22, 2014 Author Posted September 22, 2014 The stretched tyres I inherited were so bad in respect of ride they the new ones have totally transformed the car.got a huge smile now.Onwards and upwards. Falcon did a good job on the underneath with the waxoil.would highly recommend them for us northerners. Best regards Roger Quote
