craigbev92
Hi guys, I've searched for this sort of thing yet couldn't find anything that was conclusive.... Recently removed my stereo to find that the previous owner had mucked up all the wires etc. This is a bose system and I was only changing the HU. So I sorted that and was ready to wire in my PAC ROEM-NIS2 to the new HU plug. The only wires not connected to my HU are the low levels and power antenna. Now I've plugged the m40 and m41 plugs into the corresponding PAC iso's but still nothing. I didn't know whether the plug underneath the 2 plugs was needed in anyway At advice would be great guys Craig
Ekona
Have you grounded it with a separate wire to the chassis?
craigbev92
Have you grounded it with a separate wire to the chassis? I haven't no. How would I go about this? Splicing into the the ground wire on the HU harness?
Ekona
No, you need to splice it from the ISO lead directly to the chassis. There's a metal brace bit just under the HU that makes for the ideal place.
craigbev92
Okay so between the pac unit and the HU or between the pac and the cars iso? I've only ever done plug and play I'm afraid
Ekona
Between ISO lead from the head unit, to the car. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/55445-wiring-in-a-new-hu-this-guide-may-help/
craigbev92
Ok so wired in fine and up and running! Next problem is that the sub keeps cutting out and turning on when it feels like it! What can I put this down to? Craig
Neilp
The amps knackered. There is a fix on here somewhere
craigbev92
Is it easier to fit in an aftermarket amp if I can find one with similar power rating?
