Diff Fluid Question??

Have been using the specified Nissan diff fluid as recommended by traders on here Part No.KE907-99932

On the back of the 1L container it states:

"Nissan genuine differential fluid formulated and approved for Nissan differential gear vehicles.

Not to be used when a Nissan genuine LSD fluid is required."

When is genuine LSD fluid required?

Can someone please explain the last bit as I'm a bit confused

Simples, genuine LSD fluid is required when you run a genuine Nissan LSD.

I am assuming you have a UK car with a Viscos diff which is not a genuine LSD

:)

Alex.

Ok Alex its a 57 HR, if its a viscous diff I assume it uses something like silicon oil which is in a sealed unit and cant be changed. The rest of it is like an open diff, hence the standard oil used.

Am I correct in thinking this?
