(and zone alarm, and trojan hunter, and ad-aware, and netcraft toolbar and security task manager and ethereal and ..... Its amazing my PC has any capacity left to do any work!) Quote
Chris`I Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 ethereal might be getting a bit too hardcore for most folks on here, but I would definately suggest a spyware program such as ad-aware and a firewall (mine is a hardware firewall + windows, not the best, but I know what I'm doing most of the time) Quote

You can configure spybot to load on startup, download its latest update and do a daily scan all without intervention from the user. So just install it, configure it and forget it. Leave it to do its thing every day. It doesnt need to run in safe mode, no. Quote

neo Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 sunbelt personal firewall - firewall (full version till 30 days then reverts to free but still good version) avg anti-spware - anti-spyware (free) kaspersky 6.0 - anti-virus, about the best there is (£25 yearly) adaware 7 and spybot search and destory 1.4 are also ones to install,update and run once a week Quote
