Keyfob not working, had to manually unlock today

Hi guys,

Ive had a browse on the forum but still not sure of the answer. So here is the issue!

 

I got back to my car this morning after leaving for 4 days. Keyfob wasn’t working. Had to manually unlock the door

And then deal with the alarm going off. Is keyfob battery dead?, and/or does it need re programming??

I tried a handful of times on the fob, dead as a dodo!

First thing to do is try a new battery in the fob

Having owned the car for about 16 months, mine has seemingly lost the remote once before. Tried the car in 3 different locations to rule out radio interference, ended up just doing the pedal dance to erase and re-add the two keys I have and its been fine since then, seemed she didn't like the sudden bout of hot weather we had a few weeks ago.

 

Id suggest a quick swap of the key battery followed by a re-sync as above, there's a guide on the forum somewhere.

I had this problem, changed the battery. Now its fine.

Had the same issue last month,

Hand book for how to change the battery in the fob, There's a thread on her somewhere saying the change over needs to be completed quickly..!

Thanks guys, there's enough info for me to play with. Hopefully just a battery change.
