tomgt4 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Hi all - Yet another clutch post, although this time it's related to the actual pedal mechanism. Just wondered if anyone else gets a click on the pedal (does it without car running). It's about 3/4 of the way down. I've sprayed lots of white grease around the pivot points and the big green spring but this hasn't done anything. Looks like it's coming from the pin above the spring. It does it right when the pressure on this pin is shifted one way to another. I'm wondering if this is due to wear? I might try taking the pin out and greasing it up. Quote
Roscoe Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 I get this on my clutch pedal. Some days it doesn't do it. Other days it is much more noticeable. That's on an 08 HR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
tomgt4 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 I don't think it's normal, this is the noise: Tried taking the main pin out above the spring and greasing but hasn't made any difference Think I'll be having a moan at the dealers. Not very good for a 12 plate car. Just got it back too with new clutch and DMF this week! I told them about this but they gave me the usual 'they all do it'. I think it is something slightly worn there. Possibly the little hydraulic thing that runs inside the spring. Quote
tomgt4 Posted June 5, 2014 Author Posted June 5, 2014 Solved! Took the spring part off and was still doing it. Looked at all the other linked parts, not coming from them. Was actually the clutch pedal sensor switch. Tried spraying some oil on it but might just replace the switch. Nothing to say a new one might do it too though. Quote
