Rock_Steady
Oil Scraper Rings? Are those piston rings? Or ringlands? have you done a compression test?
redheadordead
They are the Piston rings (I think lol) I was advised a compression test would not identify the problem, had the Oil & Filter changed yesterday and clean & protect added to see if this helps, cheers for the reply
GIXXERUK
This warrants further investigation, burning oil can be a multitude of things, head gasket, valve guides, valve stem seals, rings etc etc If the oil slinger rings are broken they may cause bore scoring so it's a bad idea to run it Sorry I can't advise on anywhere in Swansea but I'm sure someone will be along soon That's bad luck, hopefully it's something not too costly as it could work out cheaper sourcing a replacement engine Good luck and Edited May 30, 2014 by GIXXERUK

evilscorp
have a look inside your plenum for lots of oil, do you see smoke on start up/full throttle? might as well rule out the other things first.
