Intermittent driver's window

I know this sound like previous posts, but my window works only intermittently. It's been merely a nuisance until today when it's raining and the car is in the car park at work

 

I've seen other threads that suggest even intermittent problems are likely to be the motor. My instinct is it's the switch.

 

But before I get a replacement switch can anyone offer any words of encouragement that it might indeed be the switch?

Thanks. I've had the door apart and with a bit of percussive maintenance managed to get the window back up.

 

So I've decided it is the motor (as everyone has said in other threads). Oh well, you live and learn

If i cant get it to work, i will strip the motor myself give

It a clean up and a blast of wd40 if that doesn't work il have to think about replacing it !
