Anyone know a good auto-electrician/air con specialist in Yorkshire?

I bought a jdm 2005 350z recently and failed to notice aircon wasn't working.

If you have it on it's lowest setting it will bring in ambient air and add no heat to it - but if it's hot outside, you get hot air - if you go up just one click the heater goes mad and makes the cabin unbearably hot.

My usual aircon specialist tested the system and quickly identified that the condensor was damaged which was replaced and the system was recharged with gas - which it has held on to.

Problem is, the climate control unit will not make the aircon kick in - we can do it manually by powering it but we can't make the system work from the switchgear.

We noticed that the ambient temperature gauge in the vehicle reads a series of dashes and indicates icy, so thinking the sensor had been damaged in the light shunt that damaged the condenser - we replaced this.

Even though we tested the sensor prior to fitting the guage in the car still reads --- (icy)

The poor guy has had the car to be bits twice and had read the workshop manual I managed to find, but cannot get the system to operate and has now given up - which I can understand but leaves me still with a hot car going into summer!

Anyone any ideas or know anyone in the Yorkshire region who has any experience with the nissan air con system?

I did have a kind offer of help from kaiser motor but he's over 200 miles away so was looking for someone a bit closer if possible - I'm based in East Yorkshire myself.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery, we have had trouble on other cars (micra and note) with outside air temperature sensors still not working after being replaced. We have found that after replacing the sensor disconnect the battery for around 10 minutes never tried on a zed but worth a try.

Thanks for the replies - I'll try that when I've got a few minutes at the weekend.

Otherwise, I'll maybe pop over and see you - I had actually picked up your name off Google and noticed that you were endorsed by the zed website.
