Ceejay29 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Hi, I want to replace the OEM strut brace bolts, the three that bolt down the feet and the single nut either side. I will probably go for Pro-Bolt. Does anybody know what thread/length I need etc? I have the H-Dev plenum spacer and rings fitted to lift the strut brace. Thanks I Quote

Getting pricey It should not matter if its a JDM, it will be the same size etc. I did buy washers. You can buy the same size bolts in stainless steel which are half the price of titanium bolts. Quote
Ceejay29 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Yes I opted for the stainless steel, couldn't quite justify the total outlay for titanium. Hope I don't regret it. Should match Paddy's bolt kit anyhow. Thanks again Greg Quote
Ceejay29 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 Guys, isnt the nut M8? .......shut up?? Are you pulling my leg Paddy? Quote
Paddy78 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I don't think so mate, take a bolt off and check it on the nut. I'm sure they're M8's... I could be wrong... but I've done quite a lot of research on 350z bolts. Quote
Wasso Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) But you'll also need a large washer under each of the bolts/nut as they're small flanged. Especially if on the oem strut. http://www.pro-bolt.com/aluminium-sprocket-nut-10mm-red.html#.U1gueJm9LCQ Edited April 23, 2014 by Wasso 1 Quote
Paddy78 Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Thanks Ian and sorry Ceejay! That's saved me from buying the wrong size nuts! 2 Quote
Wasso Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Bugger. M10 = 10mm so if that's what you've ordered you're fine (as long as they have a fine 1.25 pitch) Quote
Ceejay29 Posted April 23, 2014 Author Posted April 23, 2014 I think Greg is right. A few topics suggest M10's. Oh well we will see. Quote

Wasso Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I've spent well over £1,000 on spacer bolts since doing the kits so I've had to trawl many suppliers and the main strut bolts are the hardest to source. Luckily the spacer kit doesn't need the sprocket nut to be replaced. 1 Quote
Wasso Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 M10 is right, don't worry you'll be fine. If you end up with a M8 the easy answer is a hammer!! Quote
