Roadster alarm

Just sitting at work and I just remembered a question i have been meaning to ask

 

Can I lock my Roadster from the push button on the key with the roof down, or will the alarm keep going off?

i have parked mine in the drive with the roof down and locked with the fob before with no alarm issues.
