E10 Unleaded Fuel.

Was reading recently that later this year/next year unleaded fuel will start containing up to 10 per cent ethanol which will have an effect on fuel economy. I believe cars produced after 2002 are ok to take it so fingers crossed our Zeds should be ok.

is there anyone on the forum who is `in the know` on this matter and can give further information to us all?

It's fine. It's been around for years now, it's just the E85 (which is mostly ethanol) that you can't use.

Here's the formula. (CH₃CH₂)₄Pb + 13 O₂ → 8 CO₂ + 10 H₂O + Pb

In Ireland we only have regular unleaded but it contains 6.383% ethanol. None of the Zeds here have gone bang yet so don't be worrying
