k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Hey guys, I've tried to find the answer on here but no joy so here goes... Nes 350 owner, car has very nice spec (sat nav, hands free etc...) It also has a 3.5mm audio Jack that comes down to the passenger footwel.(guessing previous owner habit installed) Question i have is, how do I select it so I can play music from my phone etc.. Hope you guys can shed some light its driving me mad Thanks Quote
Neilp Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 plug in the phone and change to the tape setting I'm sure Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 That's what I thought but no Have a feeling theres a loose connection, but wanted to avoid pulling the dash if I can Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 When you connect iPod and put stereo to tape what does the screen say ? Side 1 or error or nothing? Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Just flashes 'tape eject' but theres no tape in there :s 1 Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 That's a new one on me! Have you tried the reset procedure ? It's at the end of the "iPod hack how to" it's something like turn ignition on until stereo come on (tape mode) then turn off, while holding tape eject for I minute Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Not tried that, but I will! I'll let you know the outcome, cheers Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Sorry to sound like a complete nube... but you don't have a link to the thread do you? I can only find info on soldering Thanks Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Timing is crucial on this . has to be exactly 60sec , it may need doing a few times before it works Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/45398-how-to-bose-phono-ipod-hack-guide/ try that , bottom of post number 9 Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Thanks Zmessage t still nothing... Have a feeling theres some dodgy soldering to blame Got the message wrong its 'push eject' that flashes Thanks again tho Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Yes I've had a quick google "push eject" is one of a few messages that come up, the reset should still work for it . It took a few attempts and a bit of messing about when I did mine but it worked in the end Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 OK.... found an old tape -but it wont play or give it back lol Quote
k-d350 Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 Working!... aslong as I don't want the tape back its fine The reset worked with the tape in :s Thanks ZEUS! Quote
ZEUS Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Great news! Whoever did the hack didn't remove the spring and slide inside the tape deck which stops it needing a tape in to work, Quote
chirag1988 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Don't mean to hijack this thread but do the facelift cars play mp3 CDs in the 6-cd changer or only standard audio format? Quote
