has anyone swopped cloth seats for leather in uk non gt spec

Hi, I want to fit leather seats but cloth are manual and leather electric with air bags etc. I need to be able to adjust seat.

Has anyone done this swop and did you have any problems i.e. is loom compatible?

You will probably have to wire in your own loom, i had leather manual ones and swapped to leather electric so that's what i had to do, you may be lucky and have the plugs underseat taped away so have a look there first

I swapped my cloth ones out of mine and the plugs were there to power the electric motors. The only looming you will have to do will be for the airbag light.

R35, I've kind of already agreed to buy off another member, but if it falls through I will get back to you.

OV53 that is what i was hoping to hear, as i dont currently have air bags is there any harm in not connecting them?

There should be airbags in your cloth seats like. The leather seats don't. You'll just have a flashing airbag light on your dash.

Imports don't have airbags in the seats. UK cars do in both the leather and cloth seats if your car doesn't have them you won't need to hook them up. Yellow plugs are SRS if your unsure

Mine just swapped over, it's all plug and play :-)

 

Apart from the heated seats that I haven't yet figured out how to get working!!

I think there's another little part of the loom to attach up not sure. . .

The the switches all work fine :-)

I think side airbags was a JDM option as most cars don't have them
