Just noticed a stone chip on mine, I need to call my insurance company once I’m back home. If you have had yours replaced, was it replaced with a Nissan windscreen? MickJ Posted June 11, 2007 Share Posted June 11, 2007 Had mine replaced on my GT by Autoglass but that was cracked, how big is the chip? as I understand they can repair upto about a £1 coin size, and it was a Nissan screen would have cost if I remember right £374 had I'd been paying for it, I was surprised how much trim they have to take off to get the screen out, took them about 75 mins but they did a good job. AndyC Posted June 11, 2007 Share Posted June 11, 2007 I had a quote from Autoglass for a genuine Nissan screen @ £900+. I went to a place in Bolton - Bolton Safety Glass, fantastic service and covered under my policy (max of £350) with direct billing to the insurer. I've had 2 from them now and although not Nissan screens are to exactly the same standards with the same tint. No problems whatsoever with them.
