Speaker surround for Hertz ECX 165.5

Finally got around to replacing the Edge speakers I fitted a few months back.

 

Went with a pair of Hertz ECX 165.5

 

Very nice sound

 

But, as I have them fitted like this:

 

I need a surround to tidy up the look; hide the screw clips etc

 

Any ideas?

Are there generic surrounds available?

After I hacked up my front grills I simply bought some fine speaker cloth, ebay, then some elastic thread and sewed it up round the back. Zero protection from objects but acoustically almost invisible.

I'd like to keep the speakers visible if possible.

If you use semi transparent speaker cloth they will still be visible but look nice and tidy.

 

Anything else is going to have to be hand made and will probably cost more than the speakers unless you make it yourself

Good work, look much better. They a tight fit? You don't want them vibrating/resonating.

Used standard speaker clips to screw them in place

Feel solid enough

 

Had a cheaper set of Edge speakers in the same location before and they where fine
