colindalton Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 I have a knocking coming from the front drivers side when going over a bumpy road - I done the search and it stops when I brake is it safe to assume its worn ball joints in the compression arms?? if so can I just buy these or its it a whole arm?? Darren-B Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 The usual culprit is the lower compression arm bush (banana arm) Most people replace with the superpro eccentric bush, this allows a little more caster on the front. colindalton Posted October 1, 2013 Author Share Posted October 1, 2013 thanks - I have the upgraded drop links installed and its only off the lift - the guys cant find anytihng wrong! - they said that there was a little play in the end of the arm? but drive on! - the knocking is driving me mad I need to sort it - in your expierence do you think it sounds like the bushings? if so should i change both sides? ZMANALEX Posted October 1, 2013 Share Posted October 1, 2013 if your guys know what they are doing and they can not find any thing wrong then it will be the ball joint in the compression rod. These can show no signs of movement but still knock. New genuine Nissan compression rods are in stock and good to go same/next day. Just drop me PM if I can help further. Alex.
