wmr1980 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) So I was faced with a little fogging: Another less clear shot: Some Mags metal polish applied (I went over each headlight about 10 times alternating from circular, to up and down, side to side rubbing. I applied the mags with just a regular cloth, then buffed it out with a microfibre towel. 10x per headlamp! After that I then sealed them with C4 GTechniq. For comparison the right headlamp now looks like this: Came out really well: Here's the after shot for the left headlamp: Another angle: I'm rather happy with how they came out. It would have been easier with a DA polisher though It took about an hour or so to do. However, felt very worthwhile. I just need to do a full detail to get rid of the swirls - that... I'm NOT looking forward to doing! Edited September 12, 2013 by wmr1980 1 Quote
peteman35 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I did mine not to long ago. Just used dual action polisher and some meg's final cut. Then sealed with colinite Quote
wmr1980 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Thanks, I thought it was worth showing what you can do without a DA polisher, but of course the results would have been even better with! That puts mine to shame a little, can you come and redo mine pleased? Quote
peteman35 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Sure if you're close 10 minute job at tops Quote
Tackleberry Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Looks really good! I need to do this! Quote
JetSet Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Looks really good! I need to do this! Yeah, mine's starting to look a bit foggy too. Pete Quote
wmr1980 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 Borrow Pete's polisher! It's funny how you spot it all the time even though it's not that big a deal. Problem is one starts spotting all the little flaws.... Quote
